France lost. Ooops-I promised Mario and KTAB that I would not attempt to "talk sports".
But I can't help hearing about the Rugby World Cup as my coworkers (English language teachers for French companies) are a mix of --mainly English, Irish, Australian, a few Americans (work visa always a problem), South African and one fellow from New Zealand. So the "chat" is in the air. I usually try to listen and then look like this---. But!! Of course, I am supporting Ireland. (Hope none of my French friends are reading this. Probably not. *snigger*) Well done All Blacks!!

JC.. no words. You looked simply.. stunning.

Expat, Miss Be, Mario, KTAB, Zennie, and ALL.... Happy Saturday!

        :hallo: Army

        Thanks for the empathy :l

But in the bigger scheme of things this is no more than a nuisance a good friend of mine's mum passed away last night after having been in ICU for almost 2 months. That puts things in perspective again.

Made statement to police, got case number, have cancelled all cards etc. Will deal with the rest next week. Now for a nanna nap before I prepare our braai: a whole beef fillet that has been marinating all day, potatoes (still to decide what kind), grilled black mushrooms, salad(s) of some kind.

This food talk is making me feel much better already :H:H:H
        I'll do whatever it takes

Hiya all sitting on the sofa with a large glass of water.

Thank you all for your support over the past few days. I feel right back on track.
Also won my race again today. I must have been mad thinking I could have given up my new sober life.

            Thank you all.

                            Hello Army!!

I see that in spite of various problems over the past few days that there are good, positive vibes in the barracks tonight.

Mrs. A - glad to hear you're feeling strong again and congrats on winning your race.

Zennie-butt - good for you on getting your pots and pans back in shape. I goggled them and they are darn expensive so well worth the effort it takes to get them scrubbed up. I'm sure your fingernails will grow back soon...:H

Molly - sorry to hear about your son getting excluded but I have to say congrats that he stood up to the bully. Hate them myself. ExPatty's suggestions sounds like a great idea. Hopefully you can get something like that for your son. Hugs and strength from me too. Really don't know what else to say. :huggy

Tips - glad to hear you're not letting the incident get you down. Among Mr. Stirly, myself and our two sons, we've had our cars broken into at least 5 times and I had my purse snatched here in Greece. In Canada we had a corner store and I got robbed at knifepoint twice. The first time scared the rat poopies out of me. Older son was just a baby then and it was months before I could walk him alone on the street because I was afraid of running into the robber and he would realize it was me and saw that I recognized him and might harm the baby so as to prevent me from calling the cops. Couldn't do anything like taking a shower when I was home alone because I was afraid someone would try to break into our apartment and I wouldn't hear the noise because of the water. Second time, I had a gun on the counter next to me where no one could see it and after I had handed over the money from the till, I pulled it on the fecker and he ran out of the store. I ran out after him firing into the air a few times. No one ever bothered me again.

                            RC - wot's a shape shifter....

Hiya JC. Hope you had yourself a restful day after that exhausting day you had yesterday.:happyheart:

Did anyone see my latest post on the Laughter thread. Thought of all of youz as I posted it...
