hello, i have been struggling with the problem of drinking for three years now and am just 22. i have tried and tried with no avail to stop but no way out. please if anyone can help me please try. i drink once a while but whenever i want to drink i always drink to be drunk plz i need help.cheers

Welcome this is the right place. Glad you found it. Everyone here is struggling with alcohol. Some of the people are actively drinking too much (myself included), others have been able to moderate and other abstain. Whatever your goal, just keep talking. You will find support and love.

Hi Chika,
I started at 22 or 23 as well. I also drank to get drunk, and only occassionally,and had a few friends help me do it. And then in it's insidious way it kept creeping and creeping without me fully realising what I was doing......and 35 years have gone by. So, I've been drinking for a decade longer than you've been alive. Trust me, you don't want to do the same.
I only just found this wonderful website 10 days ago, and it is helping me change my life.
So, you've found a great place where there are so many people to help you get over your problem.
Have a beaut Christmas, and maybe try this time of partying to see how you go.
Don't despair if you don't achieve your goal overnight. Just keep posting, and people will be able to help you. There's a guys group in these threads. Maybe have a look in there too.
