Terry Pratchett Books
Well Weemelonhead, just read your post over on Laughing Out Loud...I'ts great to meet another Pratchett fan....Whenever I mention his name to people I know, they either look at me blankly, or say, " oh, him, can't make head or tail of the books. " I think they are fantastic, especially HOGFATHER....He somehow takes a serious subject and stands it on it's head, turns it upside down, makes it do a few back flips, then presents it in such a way that he has you in hysterics......
Any other Pratchett fans out there???? :clapclap:A F F L..

Paul, I would suggest, ...The Colour of Magic...or ...Equal Rites....both are early books in the Discworld series. The're not to everyones taste, but be careful, if you like them, you will be hooked, also you could Google his name or look him up in Wikidpedia, good luck.
As for you Fan, well what a treasure chest of joy you have sent me for Christmas, It's gone straight into my favourites, to be looked at over the holidays, a thousand thanks.A F F L..

No No No!!!!!!! Irish lady....sorry, I was ejaculating there...hand me a tissue someone will you!!
NOT the colour of magic, I always feel as though he hadn't really got into his stride then (I can see that I'm going to have a few enemies here...I tend to get VERY opinionated when it comes to Pterry, he is one of my absolute obsessions...I have stood for book signings numerous times and just lurched about a bit and gawked at the great one unable to move!!!)......
always introduce yourself to Pratchett with either
a) something to do with the three withches...wyrd sisters is a good un, also witches abroad
b) dear old sam vimes and the watch (and we ALL know what little problem we share with Sam!!!)...go for guards, guards or feet of clay to get you in
c) The wizards of unseen university...soul music and the last continent (good for our aussie bros and sistas)....go....GO NOW!!! Pauly, down to WH Smiths and buy every startling paperback off the shelves
DO IT!!!

Sorry, I'm back and here to stay......Now, on the Pratchett web site...everybody raves about Ricewind, and while I'm quite prepared to concede he may be diverting in his own way...I find the characters involved in all the above groups, far more rewarding.......
Ps...sorry Irish...don't know what came over me...xxx

Methinks your ejaculation may have come over you Melon, BUT, yes, anything with the Three Witches in, and my God how could I have forgotten SAM GRIMES and the Night Watch......I was trying start PaulB off on some early stuff to introduce him to some of the characters and get him used to the Discworld.
BTW...I can do a very good gibber and snivel ( quite disgusting when both done at the same time ) but what the hell is a WIBBLE....A F F L..
