                      Rags,

You are witty with the repartee but being snotty, you don't feel that way. Hope you feel better soon.

                      Shas,

So good to see you. Thank you for checking in. You are such good people. :-)

                      Bridge,

Being a mom (mum?) of a male "ex" teenager (he is 32 now) I can tell you that a dear friend of mine once gave me some advice. He was one of three boys and she was a single parent. He told me, "She never gave up on us and she always let us know how much she loved us. But she ruled with an iron glove. She had to."

Hang in there, Bridge. He is worth it. One day in the not too distant future, he will be one of your best friends and one of your champions. Mine is. Until then, do what you know is right.

                      Love,
                      Cindi

I think it's a bit 'last week'....especially the whole flash back angle y'know? Haven't heard a reference to buddha stamps for yonks.....they just don't know how to have fun any more, do they? I think I should delete this.....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                              UNDIES IN OCTOBER

OK. It's now officially the 25th of October in Scottsdale, Arizona. So here we go. ***clears throat*** It gives me much pleasure to offer my tribute to our American friend on the occasion of his Birthday.

There was a young fella called Techie
Who never arose for his brekkie
                              He often made toast
                              And sometimes a roast -
                              By using his blanket elecky.

Phew! That's my annual dose of excessive decoration, emotional crappery and general waste of bandwidth done for the year.

                              Next?

Good on you, Bridge. It is very difficult but worth the effort.

                                Love,
                                Cindi

ps I actually kicked my son out of the house when he was 16. Not because I wanted rid of him but because he was doing meth. I told him no mama wants to watch her child kill himself. Do it on his own time. It took about three months. He became so hungry and so sick he came back. I finally got a night's sleep. No one can know how difficult that was. I would lie down in bed at night and think about him dying alone. When he came back, I slept an entire night. What a horrible time that was.

Today, he has children, a wife and a good job.

I am grateful he did not die. Many other mothers watched their children die. I feel blessed.

Shoot. I do not know why I posted this. I do not mean to worry anyone. But that is what I lived through. I wanted to share.

I gave him love and one day he decided that my love was more important than the drugs.

I doubt if you are dealing with that. I just wanted to share.

Maybe I shouldn't have but it is out there now.
