            Arvo all,

And in no particular order ...

Reggiee - throbbed the shark footage. Bloody beautiful. And to answer Beag's quiz of yesterday - yes to butter, flour and milk (spurtled) - yes to butter especially now we can get Lurpak in spreadable form and - can't answer the fold -v- scrunch because I live in the bush and we just use sticks. Missy - you're sounding positively radiant and Hawkes Bay should be a treat from what old Mrs. Google told me. She also told me that in order for Raggsy to get to Uepi, it's a flight to Brizzy, then to Honiara, then change to a small plane, then 12km boat ride. Wonder if she'll get a dive in after that? I truly think the woman's quite mad.

So ... who went to the gym today then? Sunny? Ella?

            I didn't. Because I don't.

I find The Slap hard to watch too. I read the book so fast and the characters were even more unappealing but I enjoyed it so much more than the tv series.

Waiting for my toddler to finish his midday nap so we can escape the house.

How is your dog today Bridge? Hope he is feeling better.

My neighbour keeps feeding my dog smackos under the fence...high salt and high sugar.....junk food for dogs......he know won't eat my healthier snacks.

Dog is a bit better Ella, thanks. The vet likened it to a hangover, and suggested buying her a sports drink, which I have, to keep up the fluids and electrolites. I know this guy from way back and he suggested that it was a good pet /owner match. Smart arse.

I have corporately decided to make Missy's meatloaf for dinner.......yum scrum.

OOOps ... seems I'm the only one who thinks The Slap is stunning Oz drama? I think the writing is superb, the acting brilliant and the storyline completely believable. I 'know' every one of those people and ugly as they are, they each have some redeeming qualities. I often squirm in my seat but hell - isn't that what good drama is supposed to do? (Still totally amazed that it's on at 8:30pm) I give it four and a half stars. David?

No gym, just a walk, pulled some weeds, might help wash the car. I wanted to go to the gym but got an earful. Hubs says because my blood pressure is low that I shouldn't do to much. I said I can't just do nothing after doing so much, my heart beats are all funny. Anyways, chores instead.

Tawny it is just me....once I have read the book watching it on tv never works....this is the very reason I didn't go see The Help. Believe me the characters of the slap are so much uglier in the book too....if you can even believe that is possible.

Well Margaret, I'm going to have to agree with you....really enjoyed the book in the self same 'uncomfortably confrontingly good' manner. I think the casting for screen is mostly exceptional except for George,M as Rosey... don't think it fits myself....Alex D is even more convincing than paper Harry, as far as I'm concerned. Particularly like the character of Inouch and her Mum, who is an actress that I enjoy very much (In Love My Way she was superb, and Rafters) Buggered if I can remember the woman's name right now though.
