Lawn mowed, house vacuumed, laundry washed, dinner cooked. I'm tired.
Happs, hard decision. I really want my parents to pick where they want to stay. I would prefer the cheaper 5 star accommodation, but if they want the more expensive island stay I will happily pay for it. As I think it will be their one and only trip up there. So I have sent them the links and will wait for their feedback. Only they are currently on Maui and the internet is no good. You know, it's scary watching your parents age. I am scared my dad is in early Alzheimers. Lets hope not.

Have decided I'm going to endeavor to stick to my game plan and NOT drink on my birthday. Figure I've been drunk on approximately, oh, the last 20 odd birthdays... will be a novelty to be sober Have politely said no to the bubbles/cocktail plan on the Friday and invited all my friends to a picnic in the park on the Saturday instead. (Figure I won't have to make a thing about not drinking if it's not at a bar where people will be trying to buy me drinks all night.)

Already planning what I might make/bake... thinking poached chicken/pistachio/celery mayo finger sandwiches, a jug of iced Ruby Red Rosehip (T2 - mmm) tea and perhaps something sweet... brownies maybe.

Tonight: Nachos courtesy of my leftover veggie bean chilli.

Finally made it back across the Tasman with The Teddies... though Bathtub has fallen in love with a n officer and a gentleman of the RNZN... and so has Finn!


They were so impressed with his shiny sword!!
