Goodness Technie - that menu puts every dinner party I've ever had quite to shame. It sounds divine! I had no clue what a spurtle was til I googled it. (And I call myself a foodie..)

So, back in NZ.......
Time to leave for Miss Missy's, so off to the train station and on to the train.
Sitting at the train terminus with teddies, a carnation and an old copy of The Times, I must've been easy to spot. Other Tigger and William had a lovely welcome card for me..... Missy was not in her Lara Croft outfit, so she was a bit hard to recognise

After hellos and hugs Missy takes me to her place. It's right in the middle of town. Very convenient to everywhere.... I had the front room, which made changing into my nightie a bit difficult as there seemed to be a lack of curtains,,,,, but, Tawn, Missy said to feel free to borow a chic outfit for the dinner with Techie. Just try not to spill beetroot on it..

You gotta say something for New Zealanders nonchalantly eating in a building that could collapse round theire ears at any moment and spill their soup in their lap.

Hah! My only claim to fame! I started the whole spurtle discussion , and inspired a whole host of Undies to purchase spurtles. And from it came a whole lexicon of spurtlemania....
