    UNDIES IN OCTOBER

Thought about the wine glass of non alcoholic for the locusts Mr G - keep coming back to the same thoughts - not comfortable with it and wont go there. The eldest said last night " you realise in two years I can drink legally" and I said yes, and you can buy your own....he is such a tight arse that wont happen...generous in lots of ways though dont get me wrong.
Happy, I would stick to your gut instinct. I have had very frank discussions with my nephews and nieces and all my foster kids about why I think they should stay away from alcohol and drugs. It doesn't stop them from trying it out but having opened up the conversation it makes it easier to come back and talk about it when they need to.

    My bottom lines are:
    * it is illegal, but that isn't the most important bit
    * all of the available scientific evidence is that young brains continue to develop until about age 25. Drugs and alcohol stop our lovely young people reaching their potential.
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Extremely good points. I tell my grandchildren that they never know which of them will be "bit" by the alcohol bug. After watching me, their mother and father, is it worth it?

sigh At the end of the day with teens, it is more who they hang with than us.

But, I keep the lanes of communication open for them so when it comes up they know they can talk.

Hiya Cindi - always lovely to see you in the drawer.

I have NEWS, people. Good news. Just pulled off a scoop and bought this week's give-away home and the lucky recipient is ..... *** drum roll *** our Lovely Missy!!!!! ***clap clap clap ***

Not only is she climatically qualified to live in Tassie - this property also allows plenty of room for all that running/cycling and swimming stuff - heck, she's can even do laps of the lakes .... AND, Mr.B's boy can live there as can hundreds of foster kitties AND ... best of all ... there's room for CHOOKS! The gardens are established, beautiful, serene. Just like Missy.

        Enjoy.

          Bags the attic room.

The boy does nothing but eat sleep and play Xbox Missy !
He has also been warned about his strong potential for addiction. Between his father and I it's almost a given.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

            Well chosen Tawn.
The grounds look as if they need a fair bit of upkeep so I'll throw in $500,000,000 as soon as I get back home. Cheque'll be in the mail soon Missy.

BTW What makes you think Doo Doo is ripple? As in what is the give away? Apart from the cryptic message and inappropriate name...

Have heard the steam mop meditation technique spoken about in hushed tones over the years. Sounds a bit too advanced for me at this stage.

Yep Missy. I reckon it's essential for us to go to lengths to make sure our young folk know the lines of communication are always open.

Feeling like I may come off my anti-d's. I have been weaning myself off them over the last two months. Went from daily to every second day and over the last two weeks to every third day. Feeling pretty good so far, but will get bloods done before I go the whole hog!!
Best wishes with it Missy. I presume you are weaning off them with your doc. I'm sure you know all of this, but, don't forget alcohol consumption (i don't know if you're drinking or not etc, and none of my business, but will stick my beak in) can affect an AD's performance, i.e. grog can neutralise anti depressants. Also, if you later begin to feel depressed again when off them, they can take 1 to 4 weeks roughly to kick back in if one was to start them again.

                    Just some thought's.
