    UNDIES IN OCTOBER

    Morning all

Bridget - sorry to hear about your friend.

After talking with Cindi yesterday, I am booking trip to see my mum (not that she'll have any idea who the heck I am, but just so long as she doesn't ask us if we've had a shower again!!) Will visit those sites, Rags, to see if they have a "calm-whilst-30,000ft-in-the-air-in-a-metal-container" meditation.

    Have a great day everyone.

      Mr G.

Pop into here and have a listen to Jack Kornfield.
I love him. One day I'll go to listen to him in person.

I'm sure one of them will help... at least at ground level.

Thinking of you Bridge. So sorry to hear of your friends passing. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. John xxx

            UNDIES IN OCTOBER

Oh dear...thanks everyone...you know I knew this woman for a relatively short period of time 5 years or so. I'm very lucky with my friends, most I've known for many years and I tend to be lucky to have a high 'retention' rate with mates. I've noticed that some people you know forever, and appreciate them but they don't always have a strong impact, which is fine. Then some folk you meet and adore immediately. This woman's huge character, generosity and zest for life was astronomical. I'm sure this funeral will be heaving. There are so many hurt people out of this. Unfortunately there was an aspect of medical mismanagement involved. It may have been prevented ....... anyway enough said....
I really needed a bit of a lift this morning, and lo and behold Zenny's Ebay thread had been bumped....:H
I knew I kept coming back to this bizarre place for a reason

Anyway, I'm just going to potter around the drawer for the morning, fold a few things up, slip a smelly sachet in here, and some manky old soap in there, maybe re-line us with some old birthday present paper.:H
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                  Bridge - :l

Rags - thanks for those links!! I have some (37!!) meditations loaded onto my i-pod, but I'm a bit inconsistent about listening to them. Had a very bad nights sleep last night, so Mr G's comment was a reminder to try to do them more frequently.

Nice day in the office today - nobody else here, so I got to work in peace and quiet, with a meeting going on in the next office providing some nice background hum.

                    Arvo all,

Sorry Bridge. I understand the hurt. I also know that, in time, you will look back with much fondness and gratitude that this woman was in your life - physically for a short time but emotionally she'll have an impact on your life forever.

Missy - is it Labne Liberation tonight?

Raggsy - I assume you'll be buying a brace of hounds when you get back home?

Ronnie - you're sounding mighty positive on your other thread. Great to see!

Techie - are you a closet fashionista?

Blondie - I think it's a good idea to go and see your mum, even if she won't have a clue who you are. My mum's not quite that bad yet but she seems to be losing a little more each week. Whenever I find myself losing patience with her I have to remind myself that this shit could also happen to me one day ...

Mr. G - hope your day is coming to an end and that whatever is giving you cause for concern will be resolved.

Sunny and Saucy - do you two ever stop?????

Pleasant day here - the usual garden stuff which must bore everyone shitless so I won't go on about it.

                      Stop what?

Ok - confession time. I am now well and truly on my plan and doing exceedingly well - smug smug smug. The decision to do without any grog came because of this - I've shown it to Bridge coz we have kids the same age - but shit it hits home.

Tawny - love hearing about gardeny things; I drone on about my dogs and garden. I have vivid recollection of snapping at my mum on a visit to UK and she was so upset. Be nice to your mums peeps

Happy - your floors look wonderful after the steam mop treatment
