Honestly how DO you fit it all in?
Asking myself the same question! Just got back from Wingello, transplanted a heap of jonquils and magnificent deep purple iris. Took the doggies fthere too... they are city dogs and enjoyed sniffing round the wombat holes. They aren't very good walking in the bush though. They slept all the way back to Sinny.
Speaking of which, here's near where I'm staying. A 3 bed unit here would set you back over a million dollars. GACK!

Looks like rain here today - yay! Have run out of bones to keep dogs quiet, so will be frazzled by l8r.
Rags, my dogs eat cat poo and it is thee most disgusting smelling thing on the planet, sans exception.
Hope everyone has a happy day
Talking of excreta, which only you and I are, I remember whenever a girlfriend had a baby, her conversation declined from intelligent repartee to being centred around projectile vomit, burping, and the colour and consistency of their baby's poop. OMG! Is Sunshine going to give us such detail in months to come?

And when I went into the city on Monday, I took a couple of piccies of the botanic gardens.

This is almost as nice as Tawns, but a bit too regimented for our frog.

There are less and less of these little critters. They will probably be on the endangered species list in the next 10 years or so. (And you will never get the stain out of your clothes if they shit on you)

And a glimpse of the city skyline

And a lovely albeit public place to get married. (as long as the flying foxwes aren't on the wing)

And this one is for Mr G.

Love the banksia rose, and those marties on toast look good enough to eat!

Now there's a blast from the past!
Just read the what will i drink with the tasting menu, and I remembered Determinator calling Satori's lime and soda a "Satori", so looked up the post and popped it on.
Wonder how Satori is getting on?

                      UNDIES IN OCTOBER

                      hello and goodbye (for now)

                      Hey all,

I've not been keeping up with the thread the last several days - busy and distracted. But proud as anything to report I'm now on 3 weeks plus 1 day AF despite the fact that this weekend past was my birthday, which ended up involving two different sets of drinks at the pub (not my pick - first a mutual friend's birthday and then wet weather but lots of people offering to buy me drinks for my birthday and a friend giving me a bottle of champagne). Interestingly this wasn't as hard as I expected - it was even fairly easy. I think as I'm in such a positive frame of mind about it all right now. I was looking on the positive side of not drinking - first birthday sober in prob 20 odd years. Yikes! - of which there were many. For one thing, I felt more present and probably did a way better job of talking to all the lovely friends who came to my birthday and spoilt me with lovely gifts than I would have had I been focused on getting pissed.

That said, I can feel resolve slipping a little ... like I start to feel better and forget why I'm doing this again. So have made a point to spend some time today reading back through my journal about my alcohol misery and here reinforcing things, as I'm off to Byron tomorrow for a short holiday, which will be yet another big challenge I dare say. However, I invented a mocktail on the weekend and printed some mocktail recipes and even bought some cocktail umbrellas and crazy straws so that I - and the pregnant ladies - can have something extra fun to drink rather than feel deprived. The drinkers will feel deprived when they see these babies...

Hope you all are well and happy!!

                      Lilly
