    UNDIES IN OCTOBER

    Um let me rephrase that...
This is a comfort zone for so many, including me when i have time off
I don't get time or headspace to post most of the time, specially when shite is flying
In the meantime the lounge is my comfort zone
I don't ever underestimate the value of this thread.. i just use it sparingly
    Huggs all and nighters G

Night too Undies. Sweet dreams Ficks, Missy, Bridge and Mr G...I think I'm on Frog time too these days and it suits. We've called computers/ipods/electronics off for locusts for 7pm and now they're reading and ones playing the guitar and its just pleasant...leaving the light on for Sunnygirl...

            UNDIES IN OCTOBER

            Morning Undies!

It is so much easier to get up early on a Saturday than during the week!! Particularly at this time of year when the birds are in full throttle!!

Lots of things to pack into the day today ....... some essential facial preventative maintenance and reading the paper before the boy wakes up (that's okay - probably a few hours away yet :H) then all morning playing Risk accompanied by Mr B's pikelets. This arvo will be spent cleaning the driveway, cleaning up the pile of papers on the desk (I always wait until it gets above the window ledge!!), delivering more political propaganda and selecting painters to come around and give a quote for painting the house this summer.

Then of course tonight it is the Wales-France game. I've pretty much lost interest in the whole RWC thingy now, but the boy really wants to go and watch it somewhere. I heard yesterday that some of the independent movie houses have banded up to get some sort of live streaming link that allows them to play the game in theatres ........ if I can find a place that does that that would be a good option so that we are not standing in amongst huge crowds of people most of whom are boozed up.

Thank you all for your nice responses to post yesterday. I really value them.

Ficks - I never post in the lounge, but I quite often pop in and I love the fact that it is there!!! And I think your boss sounds like a complete prick! And you might want to take some advice on the Xmas leave thing ........ I would be very surprised if (as G says) his attempt to stop you taking leave at Xmas is legal.

I've been engaged in some interesting discussions recently with some medical folks (GPs) and we are thinking about starting a new project. Their concern is they keep getting people coming in with work-related stress and they write a sick note to say that this person needs time off .... and then at the end of the their period their patient goes back into exactly the same situation that caused the stress in the first place. We are playing with some ideas about how, instead of writing a sick note for the person, the GPs provide a "prescription" to the employing organisation. Still in early stages of thinking about it, and it would be complex to work through the detail, but it instinctively feels like a good idea.

Anyway Undies, I've been drivelling on here for far to long this morning, so I am heading off to do all that needs to be done!

            Have a lovely day everyone
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Morning Missy, doodyheads, ass-hats, and waffler's everywhere,

Excellent project Missy. This idea's got legs! Please keep us/me posted.

A marvellous day to one and all!

Morning Undies and Sundries! so nice to see you back in the drawer early Missy! and you to Mr G. Your project sounds wonderful Missy and might I just say common sense. If we have any employees injure themselves in the workplace Workcover assign a case officer to check through their duties when they come back to make sure they are not in danger of falling into the same pattern. Honestly there is no difference between a physical injury or a mental one...if that makes sense. So it will be interesting to see how this takes off.

Up since 5 but no walks - thunder and lightening and nursing a sookie dog and cats....pouring down now and black outside. Little locust HAS to row, been told, so we are out into it shortly and then the ususal Saturday run around...

Mr Happs taking me out for dinner Sunday night...surprise...I think he stresses as much as me when mammogram time ticks around....so he trying to play nice...which is nice..and locusts have pupil free day on Monday so long weekend for them.

                            UNDIES IN OCTOBER

                            Morning all,

Wow - thanks for the pics, Techie. Now ... ***dumb girly question coming up *** - it looks a bit on the dry side of things but I see no guttering on the house or indeed a roofline condusive to collecting water. Do you not need to harness rainwater?

And ... it's great to see you're keeping up with the rigorous exercise.

Oh what a keen eye you have for detail. Gutters? Your hardly need wipers on the car! This area of AZ does experience a short monsoon season. It does cause excessive flooding at times. The ground is typically so hard and dry the water cannot get absorbed. Then it's dry with humidity

                                Morning all

Techie - what a beautiful place - love the timber poles!
Mr G - great about the AA meeting; I've been searching again for one, so hopefull can get my finger out and do something (though my first one wasn't so great).
Missy B - Mr B's boy sure is lucky to have someone to talk to at times like this. Have a great time at the rugby.

Good to see everyone keeping busy, and Hi to Fickle - hope work situation improves.

Was such a busy bee yesterday - sprung cleaned the house with vigour and did so much washing that washing machine flooded at 5th load

Quiet day loooking at house plans (yeuch), rearranging flights at Christmas (decided Qantas mightn't be such a good idea) and picking the rest of my kale to make kale chips/crisps - might try it with the chard too, as not enjoying that so much in the smoothies.

                                Have a wonderful day everyone
