    UNDIES IN OCTOBER

    Hello to you, Mr. G
I be well, thank you. Been moaning about hideous weather for days but in comparison it is now almost balmy and rather pleasant out. So, my mood has brightened considerably

    Best wishes for your date!

    Hiyas Techie!
Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?

      UNDIES IN OCTOBER

Quick question for Bridge and HP while I think of it ... Are you comfortable watching The Slap with your teenage boys?

        UNDIES IN OCTOBER

I find a lot of things I watch with my boys more disquieting for me than they are for them. The little one is truly an innocent and is - what what what - ten minutes after any scene in ANY movie. Having said that, they were not interested in watching The Slap so I gained some quality TV time alone, whilst they watched a repeat of Big Bang Theory...I think as far as Australian drama is concerned they are more interested in Underbelly's latest at the moment even researching characters (?!?)

Morning all. Fresh out of bed. I get a lot of "you look tired" when I'm at work. Feeling pretty good about now. Goin to have some peppermint tea and maybe watch a Midnight in Paris before I take my dogs for a walk.

          What is the Slap?

            UNDIES IN OCTOBER

Hiya Sunny - it's a very good (I think) 8-part Aussie drama on ABC. Part 3 aired last night. HP - I'm really surprised at the 8.30 time slot. Would have thought it was more of a 10pm SBS number ... you know, the sort of stuff Bridge and Mr.G watch on occasion ....

Anway Domestic Goddesses - I've just been given a beautiful, cleaned, Port Phillip Bay squid. Before I talk to old Mrs. Google, do any of you have a tried and true recipe/treatment for same? I've never cooked one before.

Wheres Reg when you need him - seriously havent done it either! eldest had to clean a ten litre bucket of them at work and we have shied away since....dont you marinate it in kiwifruit??? to tenderise???

same with you on the timeslot - would have definitely pegged a later one meself but I am cringey when the boys watch anything like it...even if they're just running up to get a snack I switch channels - bloody hell who am I??

Thanks laydeeees. It'll happen tomorrow - the body I'll do a la Granger and I'll experiment with the tentacles in the Greek/Med. manner with evoo, garlic, lemon rind and juice & parsley. I just hope it won't be too fantastic because I have no idea when I might score another one.

Just another one of life's little unexpected pleasures ... fresh squid in the middle of landlocked Vic.

Missy - how are you holding up?

                    Raggsy - how's Mr. Rags?

I am EVO'd up to the bloody armpits - but have secured that car will NOT have extra virgin printed on it - yay!

Hope all Undies are having a good day....and second what Froglet asked???

Dip looks good. Heard today that Gaddafi (may he rot in hell) used to surround himself with female bodyguards because he believed that virgins could sense danger. You might want to re-think that car sitch. As an Extra Virgin, you'd be utterly important!

Now, apart from Bridge, does anyone else have Labne reportage? Missy?

Mr.G - I hope you're still drinking that cwaffee, young man ... just sayin' ...

P.S. Tawny, They make a beautiful squid dish in the phillipines.
You saute onion, garlic, and tomatoes with some oil. Stuff the squid, then grill it.
I have made it a few times at home and it is BEEEWWWDDIIIIIFUL!

Thanks Sunny. I found a few recipes for "stuffed squid", all looked interesting. It's obvious I've had a lousy weather day here but I've really enjoyed cyber-cruising around the culinary world. Now declared it boots off time because it's POETS day. Yay!!!!

Nope. Too sexualised. He played X box and went to bed. Much better to be shooting pretend folk
