Me too JC. And the first ad on TV after the win was exhorting all of us to support England for the 2015 World Cup :l

I'll be supporting Ireland of course :H

Okay. I just had to jump in on the whole "worst baby names" thing.

I always wondered what Frank Zappa and his wife were thinking...

Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and last but absolutely not least, Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen Zappa.

Please do not use any of these names, Sunshine. You and your spouse probably do not make enough money or are famous enough to make it okay.

Of course there is the "great" American classic:

            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1BJfDvSITY[/video]]Johnny Cash - A Boy Named Sue - YouTube

I recommend you don't do that either.

            Cindi

I hope those reading have a clue who Frank Zappa was. I am a bit elderly....

Oh, and one of my favorite stories about names:

When the 1960s ended, San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district reverted to high rent, and many hippies moved down the coast to Santa Cruz. They had children and got married, too, though in no particular sequence. But they didn't name their children Melissa or Brett. People in the mountains around Santa Cruz grew accustomed to their children playing Frisbee with little Time Warp or Spring Fever. And eventually Moonbeam, Earth, Love and Precious Promise all ended up in public school. That's when the kindergarten teachers first met Fruit Stand. Every fall, according to tradition, parents bravely apply name tags to their children, kiss them good-bye and send them off to school on the bus. So it was for Fruit Stand. The teachers thought the boy's name was odd, but they tried to make the best of it.

"Would you like to play with the blocks, Fruit Stand?" they offered. And later, "Fruit Stand, how about a snack?" He accepted hesitantly. By the end of the day, his name didn't seem much odder than Heather's or Sun Ray's. At dismissal time, the teachers led the children out to the buses. "Fruit Stand, do you know which one is your bus?" He didn't answer. That wasn't strange. He hadn't answered them all day. Lots of children are shy on the first day of school. It didn't matter. The teachers had instructed the parents to write the names of their children's bus stops on the reverse side of their name tags. The teacher simply turned over the tag. There, neatly printed, was the word "Anthony."

Hope all have a wonderful evening/night/rest.

              Love,
              Cindi

Have a lovely day Undies! Orf to rouse the troops. Sunny - last word on the name game - dont mention names until the babes born and the birth certificate signed off. Then all anyone can say is "Thats unusual..." or "Thats noice..." or be like Mr Happs and tell em its gonna be called Hagar or Belzebub...anything to save you the "I knew a Kai once who blah blah"...speaking of which did I mention I do know a Kai....

                    Lovely story Cindi!!

Sunny, tell hubby that I think the undies should have naming rights :H:H

Actually there was a court case here a couple of years ago in which a child was taken into custody in order to be able to change her name. And the Births Deaths and Marriage's people do not have to accept a name if it isn't "reasonable"

Parents lose custody of girl for naming her Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii | Life and style | guardian.co.uk

Hope y'all are treating the Queen to a good time

                      UNDIES IN OCTOBER

                      Happy lunchtime, Undies!!!!

Missy - happy dance for all of NZ last night. I actually watched the entire match and of course didn't have a clue as to what was what and more importantly, why. And ... is there something wrong in naming a girl Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii? I think it has rather a nice ring to it.

Just had a radish sandwich - a favourite.

Very pleasant time of the year when you're just forced to go and pick some flowers. And the more you pick, the better they get next year.

Wonder if Liz will drop in?

                            Ok Aldi reportage for today.

There are still no Muttis in stock, but try your local Italian type deli......bet you'll find some.

Gentlemen you may leave, I have big business to talk with the women folk......

                            Goyles.
At Aldi today for the first time I noticed the Renovage range of skin care.....getting the really big raves are the serum and the night cream, so if you like I will be team guinea pig and provide full reportage`. They are 20 big ones each, so if this gear works, we are so in. This is the first week I've noticed it in stock myself. Maybe it's a local thing.

Also....have tried their range of handcream for dry skin. Fabulous! Pink tube. Just goes straight in, doesn't grease you up like a pig on a spit. Last hand cream I tried I nearly killed myself all afternoon dropping power tools and skidding out of control as my hands slid off the wheel of the car. Cosmetic OHS risk it is.

Anyway, by the time I wake up in the morning I'll look so young and radiant that the Dept of Education will be here to scuttle me off to school for truancy. No doubt.

YUM! Lunch time !!!!! What are we having???
