Glad you caught it, HP - I've been googling Earthship Biotecture all morning. Some wonderful principles.

          Gotta go, folks. Back later.

I am going to Google what 'poise' means.
I thought it was an incontinence aid, but I might be wrong.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                          UNDIES IN OCTOBER

Well, I decided to have a 3 day weekend because my 4 days this week add up to 40 hours. So, I have no particular plans to day except for finally filling out immigration paperwork. Also, I might or might not mow the lawn. I might read a book. I don't know really full of excitement as hubs is at work and there is plenty of peace and quiet.
Also, trying to book Whitsundays with my parents when they're here. Would yous opt for Hamilton island apartment, or Airlie Beach Apartment? I need advice please.

One of my besties who had been through all the hammering I gave myself after the BIG BANG we have no money, just said when I told her I was cutting it out - I was worried about you love...this is the same friend who cooked me bacon and eggs one morning and offered to cut up the egg coz I was shaking so badly....
Happy - was thinking about this today after you posted. This indeed is a very good friend. Hang on to her :l

                              Yes, I agree.

My best friend said that anyone who gives me a hard time for not drinking is a stupido because if someone has the guts and insight to realise it's a problem then surely support is what is needed. And that she'll always love me no matter whether I ever have another drink again, or not, or whatever. (And that I need to do whatever makes me feel good again and too bad if anyone else finds it confronting.)

That is also a true friend

Another friend said I may find that some friends need to be 'deprioritised' if they have trouble with the changes I'm making in my life - and that's ok.

I also agree Miss B that sometimes it's simply 'normal' drinkers having no idea. Just like non-smokers who can't fathom why you don't just give it up. Although, that said, in my experience so far it's mostly been the people who I secretly reckon have a problem themselves who've been most minimising. So I just have to remember that's probably more about them wanting to minimise their own drinking than anything to do with me.

Lazy long weekend Monday over here.. had brunch with a friend. Trying to decide whether to do some work (as am taking Friday off this week), walk in the park or maybe a movie with a friend.

Was a bit sad when a friend called and told me what a great night out they all had last night. I didn't go as didn't think could face it and not drink at this stage. I do hope one day to be able to go and have a good time during those nights out without drinking but now is probably not yet the time. *Le sigh*

Hope you're all enjoying your Mondays.

                              L

LillyE I know Mr G is going to come along soon and refer you to the toolbox - Gratitude vs Deprivation...which took me a while to work out coz I'm special...be grateful for how well you did feel this morning after not going out last night perhaps instead of feeling deprived that you didnt "reward" yourself last night. Good man Mr G - always makes me think...

Sunnygirl - re Hamilton vs Airlie - what time of year are your parents here again? Stingers and such you know? Plus side for Airlie is you can do day trips to different islands and you're not contained - my nightmare....

Hamilton is gorgeous though and does have loads to do....I really am no help at all am I???

Off to add up some stuff - ie work. Got my new car ticked off!!! now just have to wait for it to get in the country...and Bridgey - I think I'll have to pay THEM to take my old one!!!
