I told youse to get onto 'em quickly!!!!!! Speaking of Aldi, I trooly believe the 'Lacura' range of skin stuff is as good as the overpriced Dr Lewins etc etc etc.

What are your plans for the sauerkraut?

Good day here ... a singlet day YAY! Finished putting bamboo on the pergola thinggy, re-painted the upright posts, did a laser edging job, mowed a bit and now trying to source two Vitis coignetiae - no luck so far with my usual on-line suppliers.

Dog - a bit of sun on the old skin works wonders, doesn't it?

Lacura? Isnt that the one you were posting about once upon a time Bridgee? I think it was my introduction to you? Should investigate, is it that good?

Shist - lot of x-postage there.

Missy - been meaning to tell ... some years ago some kids came into my life (too hard to explain). One of them was a 14-yo boy who seemed to take a bit of a liking to me. I think my non-parent status was mysterious and somewhat attractive. We became email buddies and he confided that he was 'dating' a guy at school. Shit, I thought. Could be a phase ... do I tell the parents ...??? I sat on the info and just kept talking to him.

          Fast forward..............

Said 14-year old and his 'date' are still together; living with one set of parents and saving up for a house. They are now 23.

So glad I was there for them at the time. And so chuffed and flattered that they chose to confide in me.

Xx undies. We are all three people and two cats watching "Paul" at the mo. More about this when we are back in routine.

Bridge - can you send me sauerkraut recipe ...... We have been eating it a lot recently (with corned beef done in slow cooker and home made Dutch rye bread ) I reckon I could do it much nicer than the package stuff.

              UNDIES IN OCTOBER

              Evening folk's!

Well, thought i'd try another AA meeting today, my 5th in 3 years, and it was a beauty. I was running late in city traffic, then a car park materialised right out front of meeting. Then as i walked in, a woman put her hand out to shake mine. Lovely. An interesting mix of people as you might imagine, with folk there with 6 day's to 32 yrs. sobriety. These meetings always inspire me, move me, and bring a tear to my eye at some point, as i relate to, and feel the torment and struggle of another person. This was a far more religeous experience to me than any church i've been in. If there is a God, then he/she turns up at those meetings. Noice stuff, and face to face support is what AA are about, and that makes a lot of sense to me. Will be going back again soon, as i always feel 'recharged' somehow, and better for the experience. :welcome:

Sounds like a challenging but very loving time you're having Missy. Now, don't stuff up the saurkraut. :h

'I am part of all that I have met, yet all experience is an arch wherethro', gleams that untravelled world whose margins fade, forever and forever when I move'

s'allright, I have Googled and found that Mutti is kind of a region in Italy well acknowledged for sun and growing conditions which produce these amazing tommies.....it seems that there are other suppliers out there...ha haaaaaa.......

Lacura is the business, and the new moisturiser ????name is stacking up really well in reviews. I like their makeup too.
As for the sauerkraut....it's in a jar missy sorry but it's red cabbage and I like the look of it but don't know what to do with it ?

My latest mission is to try a different fruit or veg or product every week, and at least 2 new recipes .... can't be tanking with the diet through boredom. This week I went to this big arsed foodie place I know and bought so much produce that I'll have to set the alarm early to eat it all.
Then I come home and play with it and arrange it, sometimes take photos, generally get a buzz out of the colours and stuff :H (for the love of Dog go back on your meds)
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I rang them not so long ago and spoke to this real old darling who'd been clean 30 years.

Wow Miss B, big stuff you are doing. I should talk more about what's happening with my boy. Mr B's boy is similar age from memory? Mine is 13.

And Tawny, that is such a great story about your young friend. It is so important to have other people around in a young person's life.

Sometimes I think a parent is too 'invested' so having another reasonable adult around is just the best thing there is.

Well Bridge, it's not that scary, and no-one gawks at you! And you don't have to speak/share if you don't want to. It's well worth at least one visit. You will find it interesting, very real, and likely inspiring at the very least. Though they tell me all meetings are different, i.e. diff mix/dynamic, you will be welcomed with open arms. Wear a hat or something if you have to.

Hiya Fick's! How is your weekend shaping up?
