Sunny, there is a word for teachers like that :H

I've never been pregnant Sunny, but have been around various friends and nieces and foster kids as they have been. I think it must take some getting used to with all those hormones and body changes that are going on!

Defo off to bed now!! Just waiting for Hugh LAurie to finish his song .......

This is just a quick in and out so to speak. Got back home with dogs. Arty went and dug up the osso bucco bone I gave hime a few days ago and is devouring it. I am off to scripture class tomorrow morning then back to Sinny with doggies. So a quick catch up for 2 minutes. Catch ewe tomorrow.

Tawn thanks for filling me in on EMB. I try not to plagiarise your inventive sayings... but having said that, mimicry is the sincerest form of flattey.

Excellent sunny! And you can congratulate yourself on having contributed to reducing global warming through recycling !

Using up a large amount of EBG at the moment. Mr b and ex are currently negotiating the terms of care of Mr B's son over his High School years. Or rather their lawyers are. and the boy has his own court- appointed lawyer ! In some ways the timing is good - we had such long discussions with boy last week that we are very clear about his views (and he is very clear about ours!). It is pretty exhausting but it's a last ditch effort. Mr b is running out of steam, and I think his recent health problems have been exacerbated by stress. There is a proposal before the court which he has agreed to although it is going to be a big stretch financially. It will be worth it however if he and boy can have a relationship that isn't controlled by his mother. Boy has said that he is also finding the pressure of the Court case difficult to handle and he wants it sorted before Xmas so that he can have a holiday that isn't overshadowed by uncertainty about his future. So we are into the last effort, and Mr B has said to everyone involved that if an agreement by consent by both parties can not be achieved by the end of November then he will walk away and do what he is required to do legally (which mostly involves paying child support) but basically acquiesce to his ex-es insistence that she has sole responsibility for decisions about his well being.

Sorry to vent so early in the morning undies. I'm just finding it all very upsetting at the moment, and I don't really like to talk about this stuff with my face to face friends. I'm trying to support Mr B and encourage him to stick to his instincts, while at the same time sometimes having to challenge him about his reactions and whether they in the best i interests of his boy. It is so hard sometimes to know whether we are making the right decisions.

Ah well, off into the day. I am praying a lot to the universe at the moment that this al turns out okay without too much hurt to the boy or my sanity and sensibility. I have been wanting to get blotto since boy went back to his mums on Sunday, and this morning I feel like I am losing the battle. So I think it will be a day of what I have heard described as white knuckling it.

                          UNDIES IN OCTOBER

MB My Dear, You are awesome.
What I can say is that hopefully and it sounds like it will make the boy stronger. He already seems pretty strong and well rounded on the fact he is open and communicative about his wishes. There are a lot of parents out there who use their children for their misguided agendas, whatever they are. It sounds like you are doing what you can, as is Mr. B. You would hope his ex would come around but she most likely never will. So just know that you are only ever responsible for you. You are fabulous. His boy sounds pretty smart and well put together despite being torn. I'll be thinking of you. If your craving a special drink, I just looked this up and am going to try it for Halloween. So if you want to test drive it go for it.

                          WITCHES BREW

Try our recipe for this witches brew with a nice autumn spice flavor!

                          Ingredients For Punch:
1 chilled 25.4-ounce bottle sparkling cider (about 3 1/4 cups)
1 chilled 1-quart bottle cranberry juice cocktail
1 chilled 1-liter bottle club soda or seltzer water

                          For Spice Syrup:
2 cinnamon sticks (food grade, not craft store kind)
3 tablespoons finely chopped and peeled fresh ginger root
                          5 whole cloves
                          1/3 cup water
                          1/3 cup sugar

                          Directions:
To make punch, combine all punch ingredients in a large punch bowl.

                          Autumn Spice Syrup:
In a small saucepan bring syrup ingredients to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved, and simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Let syrup cool. Strain syrup through a fine sieve or cheese cloth and put into punch. Syrup can be made 1 week ahead and chilled, kept in a covered container or bottle.

                          Have a good day everyone!

                              UNDIES IN OCTOBER

Thank you Happy and Sunny for your kind words. I walked to work this morning and on the way I remembered that I had had a dream about my own dad last night. It was a quite sad dream which is why I guess I woke up feeling quite upset. This whole situation with Mr B and his boy is, I think bringing up some stuff about my relationship with my father.

I'm still feeling quite upset, but have decided that it is okay to be and if I spend all day crying then that might be a good thing!!

But I shall be making that witches brew on the weekend Sunny!! :l

                                UNDIES IN OCTOBER

                                Morning Underwear.

I finally got home from the funeral at some absurd hour last night, and I can't tell you how comforting it was to have a little tip toe through the drawer while you were all sleeping angelically and receive your kind messages.

Funeral was 'nice' but somewhat sanitised by the family, so we've decided to have a little memorial do at some stage.

Missy my thoughts are with you dear. Nasty business, and it becomes quite all consuming, doesn't it ?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
