Hi beloved peeps. I've just spent a few hours catching up with what's been going on with everyone, and have run out of time to post. However, just briefly, I've been flat out (like a lizard drinking) with Kaysi here for a week and bad news about my Mum. Now she has kidney cancer. One of her kidneys is completely blocked up with black gunk and they want to put in a stent so it doesn't get infected and fill up with pus. They're also planning on removing the kidney. Why she has to undergo two operations and anaesthetics is beyond us, but anyway, that's where we are at the moment. I'll probably have to go and look after her cats for the days she's in hospital, but my friend, Jacqui, is willing to take Chicken for the duration. It's her cockateil Poopie who taught Chicken her phrases, and I'm hoping she might expand her vocabulary while she's there. Brooke is still in the US and I'm so envious. She's in California at the moment. I'd just love to be there in her place. She's hired a car and is just going where the whim takes her. I'd be calling on you all.
Anyway, sorry for such a brief drop in. I'm determined to come by again tomorrow.

Can't read back yet, been out since the crack of dark. Hubs idea for my BD. Brk and lunch, shopping, tons of BD calls, daughter sent gorgeous bouquet with 40 roses( hmmm). Fennel, when I came out of the hospital and was at my Mom's for 2 weeks, I told Paul I was NOT going back home with him unless he completely STOPPED drinking and he promised he would and did for a month, but when I went to Atlanta, he drank the whole time I was gone and when I got home, he tried to hide it from me, but I smelled it on him. He hasn't been drinking since, so I'm not sure WHY he keeps getting gout! He's got to get on a strick diet, eat NO red meat, seafood, alcohol or anything with protein! I'm really okay, guys! Thank you all for caring!
Grateful, I am so sorry I forgot about your procedure! You know how brain dead I am! I will call you this afternoon and I will be praying for you today!

Quick fly-by, just got home after a crazy day. Spending that much time alone with Hubs was, mmmmmmm, challenging. We bickered over his driving, his rushing me (he DID try to stop himself there) and getting through the house closing. The lawyer is a total dipstick!!
I just wanted to send a very special thank you to Grateful, for who I am so grateful to have as a friend, and the GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers she sent me. You take care of yourself, little girl!! :hug:

Good morning, kids. Barely moving here....procedure was not what I expected...I thought I'd be "instantly healed"....then found out it may take up to a week to feel relief and will have even worse pain until then...plus a side effect is "massive headache" for days ...which of course I have. I was so bummed afterwards....but I know I'll feel better in a week. Had a little trouble with the infusion..he had to do it in 3 spots and one spot is really bad....felt like an electrocution and my leg jumped off the table!!! Well, it is over for now...hopefully the relief will last anywhere from a few weeks to possibly a year before I have to have it again!

Enough about me......Ruby....I hope you have time to tell us about your BIG day yesterday!!! I thought about you all day (okay, maybe not while I was laying on that table nekkid with stuff in my back!).

Rog.....can this be a relaxing weekend for you & Sue?

Nora.....still no email from me....I'm so sorry....I will get back to you....I just can't sit in this chair for long periods of time.

what a wonderful, sweet night we had.......we won the game....Clay was awesome....and Nana and Pop were STUNNED when their name came over the loudspeaker...the boys gave them roses and Nana cried the whole time.....AND CHANNEL 4 NEWS WAS THERE AND INTERVIEWED THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Red Cross have just knocked at our door and asked if we could help

ROG!!! You funny sicko!! Of course being politically incorrect doesn't bother you a bit, and that is SO refreshing. People take take every damn word so seriously now in their 'cause' it becomes redundant and eventually unheard. A little bit of humor never killed anyone!! I'm a Southerner, and a redneck, and you can laugh at the jokes anytime. Meanwhile, I live in God's country, and just laugh along with you.

Grateful, I'm just sick over you having such a hard time. I wish so much I could be with you, and Vick, and others, during these things, to watch over what is going on. I'm disturbed by the problems you had with the procedure. I've had it, and everything always goes wrong with me too, but NEVER had what you have. Wish you were close enough to see my wonderful doc. Next time you need it, come down to see me and I'll take you to him, stay with you, and pamper you later. I had NO side effects, just that the procedure didn't help enough for me to continue it. Praying yours will. I can't tell you how your flowers, card, and text, (especially coming on the day I knew you felt so bad) meant to me. Yes, I'll adopt you. You may have to settle things with Tay about JC :H but it's all good here.
Vick, I'm finishing the pics now to post here, and thank you SO much for the sweet card. I had a good, tiring, loving birthday. Talking to all of my children and grandchildren made me so happy. Hubs asked me all day 'what do you want to do next?' and spitting and spatting at each other all day was so normal for us! It was always over little stuff. And we have the house closed, which has haunted me for 6 months.
Son, GF, and grands are coming tomorrow for lunch (supposed to be today, but I just couldn't, and cousin and his daughter. It's her BD, and since she has no other family, I'm cooking her a cake. She's a sweetheart. I feel like I've been in blender for months, and have resolved to fix myself. A million projects in mind. Anyone want a secretary job? :H I probably have the same wish you all do: A week completely alone, no phones, no expectations, no demands. Lovely, huh?
