I'm working like a crazy woman here, but we're gettin lonely. Where ARE ya'll?? Tired of my own voice, as usual.
Tay said they got up during the night to feed the baby kitties, and last night when I fixed something for them and Tay fed them, they were grabbing for the dropper, slurping it down. I could never find a no-kill shelter that would take mine, so they live behind 2 fences, with Ninny. One had managed to get outside the fence, and I only feed them near their bed, so had to corral him to feed. Ninny loves having them in there, and she is getting SO fat with Hubs spoiling her! They're a happy little troup, and there's plenty of room and security for them. Ninny has fresh hay in her house for the cold night ahead, but all that fat should insulate her.
Off to finish my chicken and dumplings, and sour cream apple pie for supper. Ya'll wake up, and join in, please.

Hey everyone - I am home from work - was SO busy today - we are doing a huge remodel in a couple of weeks and are moving whole sections of books - so I have been going non stop all day!! I love it though. Talk about exercise!! The day flew by for me. I had to tell everyone about my visit and everyone said they could tell I was still basking in the glow from it. It really was the most awesome thing I have ever experienced. Sorry to go on about it but it was just a one off that will never ever be repeated. Words do not do it justice. I will send pics when I get my act together. Jan - I need to watch your video - hope that you get your computer fixed soon. Would you like to borrow my laptop in the meantime?? Hubs is being so sweet - I was gone such a short time too - can't believe how much he missed me. I guess we just get used to someone being there and when they are gone they leave a BIG gap. Anyway - stuff to do - love and hugs to everyone - have to admit, it IS good to be back.

Quick check in, but I am caught up on all your posts. We've been grocery shopping today for the weekend and I am exhausted. I barely slept last nght so bedtime can't come soon enough! Ruby, I wouldn't dare rent your cabin out to strangers for no amount of money! You have way too many precious, sentimental things in there and people do take things home with them! MB, I watched your video and it was cute, but couldn't believe a toddler would talk like that! Sunshine, we can't wait to hear all about our trip in great details with pics! Just checking in, wow I was reading some posts this AM and some people stay up really late OR wake up really early! Lol anyway I am dead on my feet my 9 pm and can't get up before 6:30am, so kudos to you all with that much spunk! I have work today. Good morning buds. Yes, Sunny, your joy warms me all the way down here in Georgia! I can't tell you how happy I am you got to share in a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Pictures, babe, pictures!!
Yes, ATL, I had frost on my punkins last night. Time to bring out my UGGS. Also, and Vick and MB you'll get a blast out of this, here's a news report made a few miles from the cabin. I don't know who's encroaching on who these days, but bears have been here longer than us. Apparently there are 5,000 black bears in GA, and most of them live in N. GA. We had a similar scene down on the creek not long ago, so I always make a lot of noise when I'm walking, take TMB, (she's looking MUCH better with RC's treatment), carry my walking stick and cell phone or walkie talkie. Also why we NEVER leave food or trash outside the cabin, since bears learn quickly where they can find easy food and don't give up easily. VIDEO: Black Bears in N. Georgia Backyard Rog, this is about 1/2 mile from the Ingles we went to. A couple of years ago a man killed a momma bear in their campground that was there because they left their food out. He was bragging about it, but the rangers and residents were livid. He was the one who was wrong, not the bear, who had 2 cubs. 99.9% of the time they won't bother you unless you bother or startle them. Like our poisonous snakes. Mountain life ain't for sissies!
John and Tay got lots and lots of work done yesterday, even if they are late risers. So much done Hubs won't have to worry about and I won't have to listen to him complain about.
Off to feed the 'mules'. It never slows down here, like all the rest of you.

It was 34 last night and so cold this morning! Kelly got me hooked on hot tea when we were in Atlanta! It's expensive, but I love it, especially in the cold! Connie, would have loved to have seen some bear cubs climbing up in our trees, but would have freaked if I saw the Moma bear! Georgie, I'm worse than that about sleeping. I usually go to bed at 9:00 and get up at 8:00! Sunni, can't wait until Sunday to hear all about your trip! Alt, hope you are feeling better. Good to see you, Fennel, Tony and Roger!
