Whoo Hooo!! Hubs works so hard every day, and the last plant manager had a vendetta against him, you may remember. However, he couldn't document anything Hubs had done to make firing him possible. He's gone now, and the new one REALLY appreciates all he does. They called him in to the big office today and gave him a HUGE, unprecendented, bonus! First time we've ever heard of something like this, and BOY do we need it! One rental under construction, one we haven't gotten ready to rent yet, and one I'm going to have to evict this weekend. That's a chunk of loss every month, while our bills go on. Tay and JC just stopped by for more supplies, but have done lots of work this week. He even did things without asking that helped Hubs out tremendously. We're just not used to having stuff done for us like this. Oh, and Vick and Kell, he cleaned all my flower beds and brought me a bucket of wildflowers for my BD. Sweetie!!

I didn't go to work today, yes the kids are on break Rubes. Well there is this giant big farm expo out at the feild where I work the past 3 days and the traffic was backed up for miles. It took my boss 1 and 1/2 hour to get to work only 5 miles. Luck I left early...anyway, been busy with school etc. Darn coffee shop wants me to come back to work there a little cuz their new drum teacher quit, well who can live on 50 bucks a week what he pays....the chickens are coming in the house and now are eating the cat food...my tomato plants have grown a second crop, hope they get ready before it freezes up. So glad its cooled off and rained some....Sun so glad your trip turned out well.....that is a lovely bed in bag Rubes, yes wish we were closer....been drinking this stuff called choffee which is ground cocoa you make like coffee, its pretty good, we saw it on dr. oz...well I am gonna go cook now...later b

Birdy, if you like the full size bed-in-a-bag I posted, pay the postage and I'll mail it to you. Or if you want it and can't pay now, I'll ship it anyway. Just not my style for the cabin or my house where I have full beds. Also have twin comforters and sheets. Let me know. I'd rather you have them than yardsale where peeps want to 'dicker' on the price. Prob cost about $30, lucky to get $10.00, plus the aggravation. Tell me your girls sizes. Have some beautiful, expensive clothes my great niece wore. Cousin used his mom for storage, and I have bags and bags of things yet to go through.
Reminds me of a joke. Heidi Fleiss (remember the LA Madame?) had a yard sale. She set prices, but anyone was welcome to 'dick her'. SO bad, right!?

So I forgot to mention, went to the hand specialist on Wednesday, it turns out that I have trigger finger. He gave me a shot of cortisone and said that I should feel better in about 4 -5 days. Today though I felt something like a rubber band pull in my palm and now my hand hurts worse than before the shot! Idk... I will give it some time. Just got home from work and pretty tired so I will talk to everyone tomorrow. I hope you all had a good day. :hGina

Hi everyone. Just a quick hello. I'm heading to bed. Really tired. I haven't been able to keep up with everyone but I hope to remedy that soon.
Back on antabuse for a while. Want to have some AF time without the mind games of 'Am I going to drink today?'. Doing a lot of reading. Thinking that all this information will help me keep my plan in place better.
Molly and our new little puppy Abbie are finally having some fun together. Funny!

Hey there everyone - just got home from work. So much physical stuff going on right now - after time off, I can feel it - but it feels good. And it makes the time fly by too. Got to be up at 5.00 so just a quick post. good to see you Nora and good for you being back on the antabuse. Gina - I have never heard of trigger finger - hope it starts to feel better soon..... Rog - I will repeat what RC always said - Take Oil Of Oregano - it works wonders for colds!!! Tastes nasty but you really do get used to it - and it really does work!! Hope you feel better soon. Ruby - great on the bonus - way to go!! Always good when one gets some extra cash that you weren't expecting!! Bird - lovely to see you - I have not heard of choffee - where did you get it? Ruby - Oh - I am not going to post pictures. I will send them to you. I just feel a bit funny about posting pics of my family on here - I know all of you do, but I don't think I want to. I need to go through them and sort a few good ones out and will then send them, probably if I can sort out how to in an e-mail to all of you here. Vicki - I am not sure what to tell you about my trip apart from it was awesome. Not much more to tell!!! I was talking about it at work today to someone who hadn't been there yesterday and she said I looked SO happy about it. Words CANNOT explain it - they really can't. And on that note, I think I must get ready for bed. I have to be up at 5.00 and be back in the salt mines.

Well, Last post and First post! I did go to sleep, although right now it doesn't feel like it!! I preferred my 12 hours of the night before than my 5 1/2 of last night! Never mind, my cup of tea will kick in soon.....

It is really chilly here this morning although we haven't had a frost yet thank goodness, although we are getting there. Seeing as I feel as if I am talking to myself, I shall wish you all a very happy day for today and go and get ready for work.

You're not alone, Sun. Just not used to having people besides Hub to 'monitor', but JC has done SO much great work and as long as I feed him, put gas in his truck, he's happy. YES, the bonus couldn't have come at a better time. Buying the house really cashed us out, but such a great investment. Will post new pics soon. Wish you could all come root through this stuff I'm taking out. I really HATE having a yard sale, but Tay and JC are gonna help me, on commission. Still adjusting to having someone help us, and Hubs is the eternal skeptic, but he's coming around. I made them steaks one night, stuffed cabbage, chicken and dumplings, and Philly cheese sandwiches the other days. Actually nice to have young people to cook for again. John will eat anything that doesn't bite him!
Hubs said I've done more in the last 6 wks than I did all last year. Feels good, but I'm asleep at 9:30, sleep till 7. Like you said, Sun, it's good tired. Today JC is gonna clean my yards here, and I'm teaching Tay how to cook all the dishes I make each night. We made a fresh apple sour cream pie last night too.
Nora, miss seeing you so much. I know you're wicked tired, with so much on your plate, just take care of yourself too. We are irreplaceable, you know! :H
Think we're done with birthdays till the 7,20, 22, 25th of November. Jack and Mad are the 20 & 22, and we always celebrate during Thanksgiving. Momma's, Granny Effie's on the 7th, Aunt Nina on the 25, and I always remember their BD's with a fresh flower arrangement at the cemetary.
MIL called and woke me today to find out when I'm going back to the cabin. She dumps a truckload of guilt on me for leaving Hubs here while I go there. Reckon what she'd do if I told her I was moving up there?? I see him MAYBE 2 hours a day; he's fed, clothed, chores are done, so it's not a big change, but since she caters to FIL, Hubs, and Son, like they're 2 years old, she wants me to do the same. I understand what you all are saying (Sun, Vick) about the temporary niceness of our spouses when we've been away. And yes, Sun, it does become a habit, a pattern, and if your men are like mine, they don't like to have their pattern changed!
Back to the grindstone (I actually have 2 of those, you know!) and check on my peons.

It would be so nice if you could have lunch with Ruby some time. Roger, I am so sorry you are getting sick. Same for you, stay in bed and rest! Everybody is getting sick from the weather change. My poor son can't come this weekend, because he has the flu! Ruby, will you please pm me your recipe for chicken and dumplings? I am trying to make them today to send to him through my daughter and I got so much other stuff to cook tomorrow for her!
