A newlywed couple wanted to join a church.



The pastor told them, "We have special requirements for new parishioners. You must abstain from sex for an entire month."

The couple agreed and, after two-and-a-half weeks, returned to the church.



When the Pastor ushered them into his office, the wife was crying, and the husband obviously was very depressed. "You are back so soon...Is there a problem?" the pastor inquired.



"We are terribly ashamed to admit that we did not manage to abstain from sex for the required month," the young man replied sadly.



The pastor asked him what happened. "Well, the first week was difficult; however, we managed to abstain through sheer willpower.

The second week was terrible, but with the use of prayer, we managed to abstain.

The third week, however, was unbearable. We tried cold showers, prayer, reading from the Bible, or anything to keep our minds free of carnal thoughts.?

MIL noticed our little BMW was missing this morning, and I guess she couldn't stand it any longer, just called here. 'Hello' 'Connie, are you at home?' (I wanted to respond HELL yeah, where did you think you were calling? One of the strangest things since I called my house to check messages while we were at the cabin, and SHE answered! No reason to be in my house, but I knew they snooped in here. I've started leaving things rigged when we're away so I can prove it. Like living in a fishbowl!! Once I had some workers here, didn't tell her, and she brought a butter knife over. I told her if someone was here that wasn't supposed to be, call Hubs, but DON'T come over. TMB will take care of whatever goes wrong. She's much better, Vick and RC, butt hair growing back. Thanks, RC. She didn't lose nearly as much as usual during the summer, again thanks to RC, but she always loses weight during the summer months from the heat. Oh, and Ninny and the cats are still peacefully cohabitating!

I do, love. Hubs catches the fall-out, and I hate to complain, since they ARE his parents, but even yesterday JC told me FIL went down the driveway like a bat out of hell. It's a very long, wooded, gravelled drive, and MIL ((85) insists on taking her daily walk down it. It's very steep, and the gravel slips out from under anyone's feet, and I KNOW if she falls and breaks something, I'm stuck with her because FIL can't be still 5 minutes.

Hi Precious Family.......
I am working for a few hours...and sick as a dog...I went to the Minute clininc on my way to work and i have a double ear and sinus infections...and I get to board a plane tomorrow....JOY, JOY!!
I go to Atlanta Vicki for one day meeting for training every month or so.....we have copr offices there.
I hope interview with the headhunter next week, but their story is already changing, so I am not getting my hopes up.
The place where the cord plugs in on th laptop has shorted out......it should be back home by the time I return...isn't it disgusting bu how much we have come to rely on them

It IS quiet here. WOW! We just had a very unusual occurance for our family, and big mess. Son called, said he's been noticing things missing in the house. Then he got home last night and his SUV was gone. When Taylor was questioned, she admitted her mother had been taking things, even cooking Son's food and taking it home. Her BF has gotten his fill of her, and dumped her, and took his things back. So she's moved in with another shady character, dragged the 2 youngest over there. Son told her to bring back his truck, and she complained she had no way to take the girls to school, so Son told her to just bring the girls and truck home, and she was NOT to come back to the house again. So she called JC, asked to use his truck, and he didn't know what to do. When she didn't bring back SUV last night, he called the police. They told him to give her till 10 AM to bring her back, and she wouldn't. He and his GF came over, and I hugged them both, settled him down, and told him to call the cops anytime she showed up at his house. His GF is really worried about the girls too, and when they got here with here Tay and Mad were both crying. Told JC to take her home and leave her. Loved on the girls awhile before they left, but Son is already planning for the girls to come home. Ex-B is totally psychotic, and uses the girls for the money she gets from Son, not on the girls. Son is coming back this afternoon to talk to Hubs, but his GF is being so supportive, and EX hates it. I told them both that this is the girl's mother, and of course they're distraught. But Little Grace would be perfectly happy living with her Daddy, and I promised I'd help with the back and forth for the girls. And his GF will too. We all agreed the damage Ex has done to the girls (her oldest daughter won't speak to her) but something has to change. She's dragged the girls to 4 houses in a year, and they are more important to me than the adults. When son called to let me know what was going on (and he tries to handle his business on his own) I just warned him not to shoot her!
Sorry for unloading. Have called Dau and left message for her to call her brother and give him some support. He admitted he's let the crap go on far too long, but I managed to refrain from saying 'I told you so'. But if she shows up in my yard again, I'll do the unheard of and call the police. She really scares me with her crazy ways, and what could happen to my babies. But I WILL step up for whatever comes next. The girls need counselling, right now. The 2 little ones are doing great in school, and Tay's looking in to technical schools nearby.
