MB, good luck with the trip. Everyone should get together and give me a date you want to come. If you want to get your feet wet, better wait till May. Plus, flowers will be blooming (start in February here), we're 1/2 hour or less from Appalachian Trail, 2 hours from both Gatlinburg and Asheville, an hour from Atlanta. ATL, maybe you can blackmail your hubby into watching your son so you can come too, or, if you want, bring him.
Have another jam-packed week ahead. After yesterday's turmoil, I can stand some rest. Son's GF is trying so hard to impress me, makes me wonder what she's really like. But she's been working since she was 18, cleans like a fiend, and overlooks son's mouthy daughters. They're so upset now, I'm trying not to push them them either way, just support them. They're angry because they're worried about their mother, and their whole wold has shifted under them. It's so sad they feel they have to take care of her.
Onward and upward, all. Oh, and Fen, your nekkid-tailed cousin hasn't learned his lesson; was trying to raid the porch again last night. And now the kitties are bigger, they lie in the yard and swish their tails watching them.

Hi everyone. Glad you liked the pics. Abbie is a chihuahua mix. Mommy is a chihuahua and her Daddy is a stray dog that got under the fence. :H She is about 8 weeks old now. She's a lot of fun.
I would love to go with you all to Rubes. Just can't work it out now. But one day, I'll be in that commune with everyone else.

THX Nora. She IS adorable! Commune's become more of a reality with Hubs nasty disposition lately; they've changed all his 200+ employees with a lower bid, so they can't find their butts with both hands. One of their office workers was nasty and uncooperative with him the other day, and that don't fly when he's busy! He talked to her top boss the next day and told him to change her attitude or he'd put her out the gate. That means she can never come back on any of their plant properties. :H I could have told that woman that's NOT how to handle him when he's stressed. Now they've changed the entire computer system, so no one can work it. I'm headed off to the cabin tonight to work in peace for a few days. Hubs will have another cow (anyone need milk?) when I tell him. And I'm NOT tell MIL. And will tell Hubs (after this cow is born!) not to tell her either. She doesn't want him to be here alone. Sad, isn't it? Tay's cleaning my car, JC's cleaning my yard, and I'm cleaning the dogs. Sprayed Sadie with a 'between bath' deoderizer after I bathed her, and she's desperate to get out an find something stinky to roll in!
Thanks, all for your compassion over the last few days. If you have grands, you understand the Catch-22 position we're in with influencing their lives. We can SEE what is wrong, but we can't impose it, or risk alienating our children by being too intrusive.
Wish we'd head from Vick, Grateful, Biz, Melissa, ATL, RC, and so many more. And I am sorry I pour out so much of my days on you, but you truly are my sounding board, my place to talk about things without catching too much flack. You all know what I'm talking about. Nora, don't lurk. Post. Believe me I post as much, almost, as I talk. All of you mean so much to me.
On a lighter note, I do understand loving Halloween, dressing up, becoming another personality. But this guy in the Phillipines takes it to a new level!

OK kids, I'm over and out unless my I-phone works at the cabin. My chaffeur and his masseuse are driving us up for a couple of days. Been another harem-skarem (Momma said ham-skam! :H) day, so I need the break. Son called a bit ago, said he'd told a good friend he could use the cabin for a few days after his wedding, before his reservations somewhere else, and I said 'tough'. I'm going and they're welcome to join, but it's MY house, and the guy didn't call ME! And I didn't want any bed noises over my head. (Don't want any honeymooners in my bed anyway!) Talk soon. I get to nap till we get there!
