      Hello family. Anxiously waiting for trip details from Vicki or Kelly.

      Fen - so glad that your Mom is coming home. I miss my parents so much. I just want to give it all up and move to Oregon so I can live near them. But, without a job, that would be hard.

          I'm actually taking antabuse right now. I am planning on starting on the Nal in the next week or so. I felt the need to have some AF time before I started on that. I just wish I could get my head in the right place. :upset: But, I'm still feeling positive about it.....that this will be a tool that can help me.

            Hey Npra....I'm on the antabuse too, doll!!
            My idea of heaven.....hmmmmmm
            a huge meadow of wildflowers, hummingbirds and sunshine
            surrounded by those I love and we are all happy....
            removed from the strife of real life like crime, death and bills...
            and all of you are there with me!!! (hopefully not dead!!!):H
            there is no "death" in heaven...and no booze either...we don't need it
            I love my family more than alcohol.:h

              Guys, I'm still at cabin, too tired yest drive home. Weather is absolutely perfect and I've been up since 5 going through old new treasures to decide where to put them. MUST stop finding things! Have a box full of books from the 1820's, old farm tools, wooden boxes. Thank goodness I brought bags of children's clothes Grate took home for Addie, and Vick took some in anticipation of having a granddaughter! John has been such a sweetheart helping me here, but Tay bought him stuff for a lizard he wanted! They have played with it like 5-year-olds! Time to put this stuff up and pack to go home tomorrow.

It's hard to get out of here, right Grate?! It takes months, seasons, to do the area justice. Wish Vick and Grate would post, and really hope Grate isn't too exhausted as she was working today.
                          Will talk, answer all when I get home, though I'd never leave if I didn't have too!

                              Hi Sun and all.
                              No, I am not on anti-depressants. Was on and off for 20 years, in hospitals and out. They honestly never helped, and did more harm than good in most cases. There were points that I was on 5 or 6 drugs at a time...points where I was just on 1 or 2...been on most everything there is, the old drugs, and the latest and greatest. Occasionally trying the same one again a few years later to see if it worked any differently, or with a different combination. If you can name a side effect, I had it.

                              So, I am trying a nutritional approach these days. Seeing an integrative medicine doctor. Things seem to be going better, at least, with this approach. But, I have just sort of hit a plateau. So, I was thinking, it must be me. So, I am willing to do whatever it takes to work on this. I have dealt with these issues for too long, and I know they are not just going to go away. I had used alcohol to deal with them at certain points. And, obviously we know that doesn't work. And just makes everything worse.

                              So happy to have the next two days off. And, happy that my therapist called back. She is able to squeeze me in on Thursday. Oh! Seriously, I feel better already.

                              Hope everybody had a good day. I am not sure anymore what day AF it is for me...stopped counting, as it is just more important to me that I am AF, not how long anymore....but, it was an AF day! And that is something I am proud of.

                                Good for you Abi!! I am still not feeling too great and posting on my IPhone so can't be too long but I have really been thinking of you and trying to think if there is an approach you could try. I applaud your willingness to do whatever it takes. I too have taken antidepressants at various times and none of them really ever did much for me either. That is intensely frustrating but I do think the therapy helps-- especially if you feel lonely or separated from your partner which it seems you do. You have done a great thing realizing that alcohol won't help and taking it out of the mix. You are stronger than you realize! When I get back up and about I will check in with you. Good luck!

                                Fen-- so glad your mom is okay--you are a good daughter!
