Reccie, when was I a snow woman - last Christmas? Well it's much too early for Christmas avatars yet. Give me a few more weeks and I'll be a witch again - Hallowe'en and all that.

Well Reccie described that avatar as "bashfully" peeking out. Now do I do anything bashfully???:H

Okay, I'll have a look and see what I can come up with. If I can't find anything, I'll go back to standing on my head....

It could be worse, I could be filing.

I have a couple of spare monitors... do you think I should try hooking one up to the laptop to see if it works? I may just wait for Walter to look at it tomorrow...
I would try hooking up the monitor to the laptop and seeing if that works. That will give you some info.

The weird thing is I get all the "starting up" screens but when it gets to the part where it brings up the desktop, nada...
There is such a thing as "remote assistance". Perhaps you and Cindi could hook up that way. Just saying. My son has fixed his uncle's computer a couple of times. Uncle in Canada, son in Greece... But then, Zen, I guess you are quite computer savvy aren't you. I'm not. Whatever I've managed to do was quite by accident. Or by luck...

I've used remote assistance a few times and its pretty nifty! I sit there looking at the monitor doing its own thing, marvelling at modern technology! Agog. :HSeriously, the first time my son helped me fix a glitch in my computer, I was in awe. I just sat back and watched the cursor flit all over the screen and various windows being opened and so on and so forth. It was a very eye-opening experience. Just love modern technology even tho' I can barely manage Photobucket and multi-quoting. With the new cell phone I've got, I can go on-line to see any e-mails sent to our business site and can use it for GPS, etc, etc. Yah, right. It'll only take me about 6 months of muddling around to figure it out...

Oh well, he never asked for normal, so he won't be disappointed.
:H:H:H Don't forget that normal is boring. And why are you in bed at this time and not hanging out in yer living room or somewhere else?

I have a smart phone too Stirls... and as much as I like the emails and GPS I think I'm going to downsize as the bill is rather high every month and I really don't get the use out of it. I may even go the "family plan" route and switch BJ over too. Gawd, times are hard when I'm saying something like this...
Right now, I only pay 17 euro a month but don't have internet access but will upgrade my "package" as it is only 5 euro a month more. Hope you get you conputer sorted out.

Troopers, I am off to walk the dogger and then to bed. As usual, wishing you, when the time comes in your time zone...

                    See you all tomorrow....:h

I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

                        Oh Zens, love.

I'm going to have to call it a night too. Been up since yon time.

Don't even think I'll get a midnight lurk in, doubt if I'll make it to a 10pm lurk at the moment.

                        Nighty nighty,

I could easily go to bed now but I would be wide awake at midnight wanting to get up

Also some programme on the making of Fawlty Towers has come on which is very funny!

I took a short nap even though I tech. shouldn't. I wanted to be more awake when I help a friend later with his homework. Day 135 af for me.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
