    Army Thread 6th October

Hi jc can relate to all that,

I used to book flights home to Ireland to coincide with opening and closing times of the pubs.???

Do you know when you think about apart from the cost to our health, just how much money is spent on drink.

It's not just the actual booze but the surrounding expenses like booking an early flight so you can use the overpriced airport bars. Or the taxis rather than driving or just sticking yet another bottle of wine on the bill . Me minds boggling.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

And the big question: do I carry my bottle of vodders in my hand luggage or check it in. As we say in Saffalnd: Eish...

Post-lunch check-in. My presentation this morning went well. I'm feeling chuffed. Only thing is: now it will lead to more work for me :H Nah... actually looking forward to it - it's a new technology area we're looking into, so it's something different for a change.

A big :welcome: to Abi and :goodjob: on day 3. I hope the dinner goes well and that you can stick to your plan.

I now have exactly 24 hours of smoking to go, then it'll all be in the past. Let the final countdown commence! I'm feeling positive about it.

        Backinabit - quick meeting.
        I'll do whatever it takes

          Hello army!

Lots of wooshing and vroooming going on!

Hope your presentation went ok tips and best of luck with the smokes. Twenty six years is a seriously long time.

Got a big bag of porridge in the cupboard and I can't eat it, with or without fresh berries. :upset:

Well done on your 800 euro sale stirly. I hope Mr stirly is pleased with you!

Mario mentioned pubs. Did I ever tell you I've lived next door to a pub for over 20 years and never been inside it once.

Jackie, the list of additional expenses associated with the booze is simply endless. Ebaying springs to mind. So does buying unneeded groceries in order to hide the booze at the supermarket checkout.

          Edit: Xpost Mr T

I do hope you are successful Tips Giving up smoking was such a gift to myself. I love not being addicted to the habit.I reckon you will do it well if you put all your no drinking Al strategies in place.

I may not be posting tomorrow as I am off to hospital for a procedure to rude to mention:upset:

Mad busy here doing land appraisals for new sites, nothing to get too excited about yet Land Owners are still being unrealistic with the values....do they not listen to the news WTF!!

Mr T I did Alan Carrs session some years back, it did work for a time, I was amazed how I never wanted to smoke when I came out. Good luck again.

Hi Panno--I read the Allen Carr book re alcohol. Not much help I must admit. At the moment I am reading Kick the drink easily by Vale.
I still need every strategy to remain sober!

Just been sent a prize in the post from my recent half marathon as I won my category. Someone spotted that the person who was awarded 1st place was 30 years younger than me and therefore cheated by giving in a false D.O.B.

Could not do all this when boozing
