    Army Thread 10th October

    Hello from across "the pond."

I am not sure what is going on. It is 2:30 am and the person next door in the hotel keeps going in and out of their room. It woke me up and is keeping me awake. :-(

              Good Morning Troopers.

A long but happy day yesterday in Stirly-world. Younger son became Godfather to a sweet little boy. We left early to go to the church for the baptism, then to a Beer House for the celebration afterwards. Ate like little piglets, we did. Then to younger son and girlfriend's home with older son and his girlfriend, for afternoon coffee and a lovely visit.

Hope you all had a great weekend and wishing you all...

BTW - saw this posted on FB and thought I'd pass it along.... good Hallowe'en avatar...:H

Thank you Mario. Yes, younger son says that now that I'm a God-granny, I can officially consider myself a Granny.

Here's a couple of pictures of the baby and his Godfather from the baptism. I will remove a little later.

Hmm and I was hoping it would get better. I feel like I've got a teenager on my hands already and she's only 6.....

been shopping, one chore ticked off. I hate ironing, cleaning and general housework. Yuk. I wish there was a fairy that did it all for you?
I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

Thanks, Jackie - I'm a bit partial to them, if I do say so myself.

                              Hiya Kaza and Pingu!!.

Pingu - it doesn't get any easier, they just get older and we age along with them and hopefully make it through their difficult years. How's that for a cheery Monday thought? Seriously, we just do the best we can and hope we did the right thing and they turn out okay. I don't really think parents can do anything else. It's not like there's a manual that comes with each child and each kid is different and has it's own needs and perks. Wishing you, and Molly and ExPatty, too, who seem to be having a bit of a difficult time, child-wise, right now, the patience to handle it all as best you can and not let it get you down. And stick by here and post whenever you need to. Always someone around to lend an ear.

Having said that, I have to leave right now as I should have been out of here half an hour ago. Talk to youz all later and hope you all have as pleasant a day as possible.

                                Oh Pingu I had a 6 year old going on 16, she's 25 now.

I couldn't believe who this delightful child other people used to talk about was the same little devil I had at home. I learnt to walk away when she was off on one.

I always wished the mute button on the TV remote would work on kids.
