When do you start doing actual counselling? Is it this week?
Crikey that's a while off. I'm just answering the phones and making the tea at the moment.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Oh! You may or may not be aware that I'm on my second alcohol worker with the same organisation (SMART), and what struck me as odd was that the two AWs have got totally different approaches to dealing with their clients. Not even remotely similar. I sort of thought that there would be a standard recognised approach to working with addicts, but clearly I was wrong.

        Laterz Zens,

I'll prolly be lurking about as I fell asleep on the settee, this aftie. I'm trying to give up the nanna naps. Blooming harder to do than drinking.

Reccy, I had 3, all of them trained psychiatric nurses who then trained in drug and alcohol problems. Hated the first one, the second one was a bit too cuddly and nice and I adored my 3rd. All of them with different approaches.

I adored my 3rd AL worker and stayed sober for over 7 months with his counselling then I thought I knew better and started to mod. I've spoken to him a few times over the last couple of years just for a chat. He's dead chuffed for me.

                    Hello inchy

The bloke I am seeing now worked as a trained counsellor who switched over to working with alcohol and drug addicts a year ago, JC. He's actually quite good.

I'm off to get something to eat now cos my broadband connection has decided that it's a narrowband connection for today and it's becoming almost unusable.

                    Bye!
