    Army Thread 18th October

    :happyheart:
Quick stop here from me too.
I have to go back out there again to take my son to his speech therapy. It's chilly, damp, drizzly...
Just finished work and stopped home to drop off my (very heavy!) book bag and give pug dog a quick walk and snack. He's already back curled up on the duvet. Lucky little shite!:H
Hope everything is going ok Mrs. A. I promise not to hug you anymore.:H

ah thanks for explaining the dark orchid tart

I think I would be shiny tart because I love shiny things......

It's funny about nasty people on forums. I belong to another one, about shiny things, and some of the crap that flies around on that is shocking. One member (who got banned more times than I can remember) sent people PMs (including me) calling them tw&ts and cnuts and all sorts of vile stuff just because they had a particular shiny. She told me in a PM she hated idiots like me who couldn't think for themselves and just followed the crowd........ nasty piece of work. You would think on a forum like this that people would behave, it's a shame when a couple spoil a good thing?!?

Lucy was so jealous of my MWO hat that I found her one in a charity shop for 50p today and she loves it......

I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

Back from the hospital. Did not have full G.A. as they needed my cooperation. Stuff removed and gone off to histology. They found a few other little abnormalities but they seemed pleased and think everything will be OK.

Just about to eat an enormous meal of Squid/Octupus ,Scallops, Shrimps and Mussells etc with Linguine. That should take care of the 8llbs. Mind you I only weighed 8st 11 to start with.

Off to spend a pleasant tuesday evening.Thank you all for the positive vibes:thanks:

Love the hat on your pretty daughter Pingu

Pingu... my idea of hell are HOA meetings (Home Owners Association). If you want to see the worst come out in people, you need to go to one of those. I used to avoid them like the plague until their screw ups started costing us money. We call the people that are into that type of thing "Condo Commandos"... a very apt moniker. Its quite disturbing to see your neighbours going off on one because a kid drew on the street with chalk to play hopscotch. (That's when I start grinding my teeth and muttering "get a life" under my breath...)

What's the "shiny thing" forum about? I call around a couple of forums (other recovery sites and a health & nutrition forum) but I'm not actively involved... only this one. If I were to start posting properly on the others I would never have time to do anything else!
Shiny things in ears and stuff..... body mods basically, the sort of stuff my mother loathes....
I don't post on there much now anyhow
I can't wait for this damn meeting to be over, it is gonna be boring and there is one twonk bound to turn up who will ask questions just because he likes the sound of his own voice. And he's a first trumpet player with an ego to match

I take nice pics on my camera, that was taken from my shit webcam......

tried to post a nicer pic but it keeps showing it upside down..... oh well, tea to cook for the monsters

Pingu, your daughter is so sweet. Love the colours she's wearing. Again, good luck with the meeting.

:huggy Mrs. A. So glad to hear that all went well. Enjoy your meal.

Zennie-butt, sorry about your shite weather. We had a lovely day today although a bit on the cool side. Supposed to go up to 22C by Friday.

Good for that young man on getting himself clean and sober. That is the kind of good news I love to hear. And I know what you meant about memories of places being hazy. It is a shame, isn't it?

Now where the heck are Tipster, Reccie and KTABbers? The Army men have abandoned the barracks. Maybe they're all over in the Mess Hall. YoooooHooooo - where are you guys???

              :hallo: Army

Whizzie: glad everything went OK :l:l:l

Dinner is smelling delicious: beef with onion, coriander, cumin, ginger, garlic, paprika, citrus, honey, tomato... Couscous steaming. Mrs. T will make us a leafy salad with lots of avo.
              I'll do whatever it takes

Hiya Tipster. Good to see you. That dinner sounds divine.
I trust you're still ciggie-free, and all I can say is..:goodjob:Seriously, I have read many times here that giving up the smokes is a whole lot harder than giving up AL. So again, :goodjob:.

I'm off to walk the dogger and then to bed. The dentist visit today kind of took the stuffing out of me and I've got to get up early tomorrow to attack the housework and laundry.

Wishing all of youz on this side of the pond...

                  And to Zennie...

I'm doing well on the no-smoking front. Allen Carr helps one to look at smokes in a whole new light, making it easier. AL was wayyyyy more difficult for me.

I hope the toof isn't too bothersome.
