Now call me naive, but why would men want support pants?
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I guess it would depend on their state of errr...excitement whether they needed support or not, but the simple answer is for the same reason that women wear brassieres - to stop it all wobbling about. (Did I just type that?)

                Hallo Army!!
KTAB;1195604 wrote: I see it as a defect in character not to be able to stay changed in my ways for any length of time. But you know only one person can change that, no pain, no gain. Not a defect in character, K, it's a disease. I once read that alkies have a gene that is different than it is in "normal" people. And that it's inherited. I truly believe that. There are hundreds of examples right here at MWO. There are examples in my own family. My Mother's father was an alcoholic, as was her brother. Her brother's sons, two of them, anyway, have no problem with AL but the one grandson drank heavily in his late teens. The parents only found out when he had blood tests done and the Ferritin levels in his blood were off the boards. My younger sister drinks wine on a daily basis starting mid-afternoon until she goes to bed. I don't have any contact with her and haven't for years so I don't know if she gets drunk or just drinks til bedtime. I do know that she drank every single day for many, many years. I guess since her husband starts with his light beer at 10 a.m., her drinking seemed mild compared to his. So, KTAB, please don't belittle your character when it's something else, IMHO, that is causing the problem. And something that will always be there and ready to bite us on the butt if we're not careful. Yesterday I read a post by a member here who was AF for 6 years and tried modding and ended up drinking again. It's a battle that can be won but it takes a lot of work. How wonderful it would be if we could remove all those stress factors from our lives and not want to blot them out with AL.

But only for a short while. Been at work all day then at parents eve for crazy child then Beaver run, now just getting my head together for more teaching, then have some friends coming over later for chit chats and laughs and face masks and cookie dough chip ice cream.. yum

how's everyone else? Cold innit?!?Sounds like the perfect "girlie" evening. Enjoy!!
Zenstyle;1195661 wrote: KTAB... I've pretty much come to similar conclusions to yourself. There is nothing physical about this for me... its all in my head. Like golf, this is a game that we play between 6 inches.

And I've heard it said a lot but I'm really coming to understand it... we're not done till we're done. The commitment that we've made to the bottle has to turn into a commitment to sobriety... otherwise it ain't gonna fly. We can lie to others but not ourselves and there's no way one can just "convince" themselves if they're not really "feeling" it. If any of that makes sense...Again, Zen, I believe it is something in the genes. And yes we have to get it straight in our heads, and make that commitment, but it won't happen until we truly want it and are ready to make the commitment to get AL out of our lives once and for all.

Really, when I think about it... its long overdue for men to have proper undergarments. Jim has a right go-around on the treadmill. It only makes sense at the end of the day. (Psssstttt.... he has these spandex things.... I can PM you pics!!!)
Jaysus, since you've gone this far with TMI, why don't you just post the pics here and forget about the PM's.
