Hello Saucy! TGIF
I was up at 3 am freezing to death. Checked the temps on the weather site and saw that it was -1C and 92% humidity. Heater is now officially on.
I took advantage of catching up on the Army Thread . I wasn't able to get on the computer yesterday-a crazy busy morning trying to get everyone out of the house on time and by the time I had got home from work and picking up my son--the daughter had taken over the computer to type out a very long essay for her English clas. So I couldn't exactly complain and ask her to get off.
Another long day-feeling tired and burnt out-but at least it's almost the weekend. I think it's going to be a "pizza night" this evening. There is no way I am going to feel like cooking later (and then have to do the washing up).

Wont tell you about the weather here then - bewdiful. Just thinking stir fry for dinner myself but Tawny has got me thinking of salt and pepper squid and hot chips....here i was being so wonderfully good and evisaging myself at Aquaerobics - like a scene from the movie Cocoon...

Good morning expatty, saucy and all to come

Don't know how you manage to get everything done expatty. I'm not surprised you're knackered.

Been up all night doing various things on my computer. I also managed a brisk walk to the end of the lane and back. Unfortunately the battery in my torch went flat after about 10 minutes, so I ended up walking briskly into the ditch a couple of times.:upset:

Think I will have a read in the bath and then get myself off to Sainsbury's for opening time (7am). It's brilliant shopping at that hour cos the place is absolutely deserted. There're so few shoppers, you almost feel like you should nod and say "good morning" when you come across one.

Bollocks, I just inadvertently started a duplicate thread. :upset:

Maybe you could do both? Squid and Aquaerobics seem like a world away. Well, the squid at least. We do have a very nice indoor pool in town-with sauna, work out area etc. I've been going with my son every Sunday morning for his swim practice and they leave a few lanes open for the adults. And yes! I've been swimming. I have really been enjoying it.
Well, off to have a shower and get ready to face the day.
I'll try to peek in before I leave for work. But if not....
laters :l Hope everyone has a positive day. Stirls-I loved your post about facing up to the economic crisis. It was "realist" but positive at the same time. I think I have to review my outlook on things and get a plan on how to tackle the coming months (years). In a more optimistic light-if not a "naive" light.

Good morning Expatty, HP Saucy Gal, Reccybear, TF, Zens, Tippers, Molly, Mrs A and all those yet to drop by

Well 50 years ago today on the 21th I became a big sister to a boy child. Oh the joy I felt as it dawned on me that I was no longer the centre of my Ma and Pa's universe.

In other news today came downstairs to find a rather handsome young man asleep on the settee surrounded by Maccy D boxes. Seems as if the son and heir and his pal had a rather late night.

Still full of cold, but prognosis is good.

Sleep fairy was gracious here last night, no snoring for miles, no strange men on the sofa, did not walk or stumble into ditches - t'was a good night!

And.. I'm not hearing any rain pounding on the roof! Yesss! The gods love me today! :H

Busy day planned but first things first. Coffeee!
