    Happy Camper, I'm Back!

    Hi Happy Camper, Brian, and all that I have spoken/written to in the past. I haven't been on MWO in months. I apologize for not getting back to Happy Camper much sooner. I can see she reached out for me back in June. Nothing has changed for me. I still drink, feel like crap, and tell my husband I'm sorry all the time. I tried some out patient therapy and then dropped out of that. This morning I'm going to an AA meeting and then to work. I might call the therapist and ask her to open my file once again. I wasn't liking her too much. Now that I think about it, she was tough and doing her job. She wasn't compassionate. She was a butt kicker. Something I need, because obviously I still haven't straightend my life out. Remeber the letter from my Dad? Remember how I told you guys that he and I are real close? Well, I avoid him now. I feel cruel. He knows I'm hiding from him and I haven't straighted my act out. My husband left to go fishing in North Carolina the next 5 days. He left me a letter this morning on the counter. I have got to say, I feel like a mess and feel worthless. I am desperate for help right now. The AA meeting is at 10:30. I can't wait to get there. Before I go, I hope to cry my eyes out. I can't live this way anymore. My life is spirling out of control. I'll write some time late in the day today. - Reenie

      Reenie;

      Hold on tight! The ride to sobriety is well worth it.

      Good luck with AA. Please post later how everything is going.

            Everyone, thank you for welcoming me back. I went to the 10:00 AA meeting. When I walked into the room I immediatley saw to people I know from having attended meetings here and there the past 3 years. I'm so glad I went. One of the women is going to help me with the "best" night meetings to go to. She also told me of a addiction recovery therapist and gave me her number. I could go back to the butt kicker I went to several months back, but I still think our personalities crash. I might be better off with a fresh start. Happy Camper, I'll write you later this evening when I get back from work. Thanks again everyone!

              Hey Reenie,

              Glad to see you back. It will get better. Please stay close to the boards, and the meetings sound like a good idea... Just being able to express how you're feeling with people who understand seems to help so much.
              Happy holidays Sweetie. We're here for ya.

                Happy Camper, I'm Back!

                All: Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm glad I went to the meeting this morning. There's a woman there who will also help point me in the right direction. I spoke to her again on the phone this evening. I look forward to cleansing myself of alcohol and actually feel good. The longest I have gone without drinking since I was 21 years old was 32 days! My first goal is to get past 32 days, then 60, then 90. I'll continue to come to this site, to the AA meetings and work with a therapist. I need the help and want the help. - Reenie

                  Reenie- Good for you! Please go to AA or whatever works for you. The only thing that matters is that you achieve sobriety and happiness- how you get there is not important. It was great to meet you, and I wish you all the best always.- Brian
