X posted Bridge. Hate to be morbid this time of the morning but the stats on women drinking THREE drinks a week and breast cancer??? More likely incidence than having a family member with the disease?? If thats not a reason for me I dont know what is... The Breast clinic offered me genetic screening last visit - catch is your relly has to be on the planet....also a couple of KK's in cost....just have to resign myself to mammograb and ultrasound as a regular event. Crappo time to do locust round up...

I know! I read three times a week and thought 'light weights'
We're just all going to have to be super vigilant with our health check ups. We should be anyway, but especially in light of abuse background.
Then I think of Betty Ford, who cleaned up and lived until 93......

Again, love you guys. Bridge, sounds like most of my days. Have had 50+ men call me weeping, saying their life is over. What the freak can I do with that? Talk calmly, rationally, (I hope) and give them options. Some things are just DUMB, when you think about them in a sane, sober, mind. But we get caught up in it, don't we? MB, I rescued 2 cats and when I found there was no place I could take them where they wouldn't be put down, I brought them home and kept them in a room till they were big enough to be on their own outside, and even my Rottie likes them. They're fat as mud from all the creatures they find and eat, along with all the food I put out. But I understand this is an exception for all the animals that are left to fend for themselves.

              Morning Undies

Dark as night here and torrential rain - think there's a thunder storm coming up, so will have to unplug all.

Missy - If I had to foster an animal (particularly a dog) I'd be like those old women on TV with the cluttered house and 100 animals! Kudos to you.

Sunny - must be exciting to see your growing beump. I've had shop assistants mistake me for being with child before. I didn't like to tell them I was just fat.

              Have a good day all.

                Morning all

Too much rain here again....feel like I am back in Ireland these days.....Blondie you must be near me.

Bridge....stressful times but you seem to be so strong.

Sunny.....my bumps always popped out as soon as I was pregnant......there is an old Irish saying about it but I can't remember it right now..... I'm a shortie so my bumps always looked massive on me.

Every cat I have adopted has had some strange issues.......the current one likes to get high on bleach.......I had to ban it.

                  Morning Ellaq

Did you hear that HUUUUge crack of thunder?! I swear it was right above my house. I jumped up and unplugged everything - no time to log out

Won't ask about the bleach - can cats overcome the child-safety lids...?!

Well, just went out and collected my steam mop. Despite not finding any good reviews online, I listened to the wise Undies here and bought one. Off to unpack and perhaps read instructions.

From my steam mop safety instructions:

"Do not cleaning natatorium if natatorium have the water"

I thought somebody has used Google translator and got a bit confused. But, 'scuse my ignorance, natatorium is , indeed, a word. I have lived my life without ever having heard this fine word. I shall now try to incorporate it in to my casual conversations. :-) Can't stop, off to the natatorium...

Has anyone, really, actually, heard of this word before?? If so, I shall donate $50 to your charity of choice (it's coming up to Christmas and that's what we do in lieu of pressies, so might as well start early)

Hmmmm Blondie ... bit stumped on the natatorium. I think it might have something to do with birthing. Maybe Sunny knows?

Continuing with Undie check list, I have:

                      • Steam mop
                      • Spurtles
                      • Chooks
                      • Cats
                      • Garden
                      Delicious magazine subscription
                      • Ornamental chrome dome ???? (WTF)
                      and
                      • Missy's Meat loaf is cooling as we speak!!!!!

Apparently it's from the Latin for sports centre/pool?

Did anyone watch Luke Nguyen last night - the food looked so fresh and yum. But is it me, or does it seem like the locals don't really like to interact with him when he talks to them? Anyway, would love to go to Vietnam, pity about the flying :-)

                          Undies in November

                          G'day everyone,

                          Reggie,

You are obviously in too much pain my friend. I want to help you to get a plan together, if you'll let me, and i know many of the other Undies will be on board too. Plan? Bah! No, i do mean a plan that will work for you. Please allow me to throw a couple of thoughts out there to you, and please know that these words come from a place of care and concern. I'm not trying to tell you what's best for you, cause i don't know that.

Panic and anxiety are made worse by the grog as you'd know, so often meds for same have little effect. Can you get a plan together with a good doctor? Is this a good idea, and do you see it as a possibility? A plan to get off the grog, and then manage the emotional anxiety, paranoia, anger, and any potential fallout you may have when sober again. i.e. maintenance for longer term sobriety. If you have private medical insurance, I'm wondering if you can take some time off work at some point, a few weeks maybe, (with your doc and family and friends onboard), and get yourself into hospital for a rest, de-tox, and if need be, an introduction of meds for any anxiety, or whatever issues, with a good solid, do-able plan for starting over again, and taking your life back.

Just some thoughts mate. Tell me to bugger off, that's okay. I just see a man in too much pain, and i'm wondering what you are going to do about it, if anything? P.M. people here, or talk openly. Some smart cookies here, who are right behind you.

                          Greg.

'I am part of all that I have met, yet all experience is an arch wherethro', gleams that untravelled world whose margins fade, forever and forever when I move'

You're a great friend Mr G. And quite inspiring. That is all.

Ahem. Do we have meatloaf photos Froglette?? Is Bridge back from running her tail off yet?? and what news on the moppage front in WA?

                              Arvo all,

Pulling a POETS and offed the Blunnies. Unlike you poor buggers in the West, we have an absolutely stunning day here.

So, reading back - Bridge - I'd sure like to have you in my corner if a medical issue arose. Hope both housemate and other mate will escape unscathed. Erm ... are you taking a bit of time for self?

Missy - I can understand getting so attached to the little critter but thank dog there are people like you who are prepared to give these beasties the best start in life. Have a wonderful weekend away with Mr. B and recharge those batteries.

Blondie - so I guess they're trying to tell you not to steam mop the bottom of your pool while it's full. You're just too damn house-proud, you know?

Reginald - I think you know what all of us here think of you. You're our friend and a top bloke. I wish you would see yourself in the same light. I thought you were off the grog so I'm assuming that the big black dog's got a grip on your ankles? Hope you're back home for the weekend and can maybe float around on the bay for some calming thoughts?

                              Noice words, Mr. G.

                              Saucy - there'll be pics ... but only if it's pretty ...

Had a top day here clearing away all the stuff that chainsaw/gardener man (henceforth known as Mellors) did yesterday and it feels good to have more areas looking the way I had intended. I'm having my first Bundy of the season and not the diet stuff, either.
