    hello everyone.

ragsy ; great photos as usual, sounds like an amazing experience.
bridgee ; wot's with your eye darl/ if it's ok to ask.
saphy: great to have you back you energy ball, & how lovely to have met a good man. tell me where to get one would you.

not much to report here. had a good weekend, the reunion went well, quite inspiring me to get back to work actually, got offered a job in tassie Saph & it would be oh so nice to take it seriously.
finally drying out after the excessive rains. went for a good gallop today on the old gelding - he's such a trooper. made me relax anyway.
good news ; mare's inital scan indicates postive for pregnancy.
AND the golden may have a boyfriend fairly close : so it looks like fur-babies all round.
plus i have a baby magpie in rehab - such a sweet little lady who gurgles away happily.
    thank goodness for my animals!!

oh ok bridgee sorry to x-post glaucoma - hmm hope all goes well then.
i have a propensity to that also, if....
ah, nothing as special as when a Golden retriever comes into the office displaying a tennis ball very very proudly. beautiful.

        Thankyou Dog for the shower...

Beags start with basics...is your blood pressure low? Any chance you are anaemic (Get a full blood count) Have you had your eyes tested lately? A flu, cold, virus, infection. Drug side effects? Middle ear infection/vertigo? ....just to name a few.....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Beagle.....sounds like vertigo. My mother suffers it along with the numbness in her hands and wrist. I also get the numbness when I am pregnant. No answers for her yet....One doctor said the menopause and another more competent one said anaemic after full blood tests. Waiting for an appointment with a specialist to see what would cause the anaemia.

            thanks bridgee & ella.
            no drugs taken atm.
blood pressure used to be high but was normal when taken in Feb. No other signs of middle ear infection, vertigo sounds like it would fit but also my pupils are differing sizes - have been for yrs, no side consistent.
if dizziness persists will see my not so local gp.
            ta dearies.

                  Morning Brigeroo,

I am up and about but not quite at em yet. Got job interviews today and quite frankly am not relishing the inevitable question......why did you leave your last job? I havent come up with an answer to that one yet that I am happy with. Do I tell tham them that I was working for a bunch of low life pseudo christians with the morals of fusking alley-cats, or do I say something trite like ......I cant think of anything other than the truth...watcha think...help me out. By the way, how is your eye, hope its getting better

I'm looking for a bigger challenge and to grow my career and I couldn't job hunt part time while working. It didn't seem ethical to use my former employer's time.

Jeez it's good to have you around again Sapph.

Re job interview Q's...your answer will be exactly that won't it? You are so committed to client care and advocacy that you could not align yourself with the organisational ethics....simple...who wouldn't want to hire you?

Saphster - good work. Make that excellent work. Btw - how are your younger boys enjoying Music Uni?

Bridge - any follow up required on the eye?

Weird weather day here - quite warm and humid but wind starting to kick in and grey clouds building. I've just had a big brekkie like the one MrG prolly went out for and now I'm full as a catholic school.

I may or may not have something interesting to say later on in the day.
Tawn, youngest son just loving the Conservatorium, next youngest hated it!!! He chucked it in after three months, saying stuff like"they want to mould me into a jazz musician and that style just doesnt rock my soul".....so he left, raced up to Briso and started a uni course in international studies, thinking that he might try his hand at international diplomacy. Well, I got a call one morning at around 3am, it went like this....mum, I just cant stop watching the news,I think the world is a really evil place and we are all doomed" I feel really really bad what will I do? Of course I told him to ditch the uni course, get on a bus, catch the ferry and get his vulnerable arse right home. He did that; his father is beyond mortification and now Ben is working at pulling weeds and getting really filthy in the paddocks for a local farmer every day. He says that he has never felt so well emotionally and grounded! He gets up at 5am and is home by 5pm. Earns a decent wage and loves the physicality of the work. He wants to travel like his older brother and I can just see him joining some humanitarium organisation and volunteering in the near future. I am beyond proud as this little bloke has been my right hand man through alll my years of self imposed hell. He has suffered as a result of my addiction, but not once did he leave my side. We have these really honest reflective but not negative discussions about the twelve years that he endured my alcoholism and it brings tears and joy to both of us at the same time.

I see so many family completley broken by addiction and it tears at my heart strings. Ben said to me the other day - " Mum you were really really broken, but you fixed yourself and for that you have my undying admiration" - Well those words mean more to me than winning the lottery. Gotta run off now and dry my tears of gratitude ..love yas Saff :h:h
