happsty: for the pasta i use 1 egg per 100gm plain flour - apparently supposed to use 00 flour but not accessible here, & go for it with my avanti. do try the ricotta - it is soooo easy & very yummy!

Techie...wish I had your imagination.

Up since 4.30am here......struggling to keep the kidlets quiet.....could hear our neighbour peeing last night so I am sure he could hear every utterance from my kids this morning.

Happy Birthday to my big little man.....he is still getting over running head first into a glass door last night.......thank god for safety glass.

Ah, yes. Anzacs in Gallipoli, and my grandfather in France. His gas mask hung in his smokehouse, and always scared the bejesus out of me. Also, a friend brought me some bullet casings she picked up on Anzac beach. I cherish them.

When I was a wee one, my uncle asked my sister and me to sell fake poppies on Veteran's Day (U.S.) for the Veterans of Foreign Wars ("In Flanders field the poppies grow....". Wish I had one of those to put in my genealogy notebook for that side of the family.

BTW, I'm a history nut. Majored in that and library science. Perfect combo.
