I'm full of emotions today for a whole bunch of reasons, some of which I'll tell you about and some of which I wont!! So I am going to do some emoting ......... feel free to change to another thread if you dont want to gack :H
Aspy, your wee angels look like they have misplaced their halos and wings :l
Seriously mate, you have been an inspiration on here from your first post, and you deserve all the happiness that the Universe can throw at you!!
Happy and Sapphy and Bridge - I love the way you love your boys despite the frustrations they bring to your lives. You just all pour your love out and if the bucket is a bit leaky then you pour some more. I am in awe of all of you.
Sunny - Having never been pregnant I have no advice to give except that following your body's instincts sounds like a good plan. I had thought that I might knit some booties for you, except the last pair I started (for my niece's baby) never got finished, and baby is now aged 3 1/2:l So I shal not overpromise :H:H
I had a day of serendipity today. Mr B's boy has been with us for the weekend - totally unexpectedly!! The last contact visit was cancelled unilaterally by his mum - as has become the pattern over the last year. Anyway, Mr B had an (unprecedented) message from the lawyer this week that boy wanted to come down for the weekend. We were a bit concerned that this might be something significant ........ but it turned out he just wanted Mr B to fix his laptop We had the most lovely weekend - not doing much but just hanging out, having the odd conversation about serious topics but not in a heavy way, and looking forward rather than back.
There was a particular store he wanted to visit this weekend, because of their Xmas Shop (and this is the last time he will be in Wellington before Xmas). So we agreed that we would go today, en route to Mr B taking him back to his mother's tonight. There were two things that was nice about that - firstly he also organised to have his sister (Mr B's daughter - aged 22) be there are that same time (his sister is a bit alienated from Mr B and they haven't been in contact for the last couple of weeks) and secondly, the Santa Parade was on at the same time!! Once we sort of all worked this out, Mr B and I were very concerned that he would not be able to deliver boy back on time. But the two kids just took control and said that they both wanted to stay for the Parade, and that older sister would phone her mother to tell her that boy would be back later than expected. It was an unexpected gesture of support that I was very grateful for.
And I haven't been to a Santa Parade for about 3 decades. but I really enjoyed it!!!!
Anyway, feeling full of the milk of human kindness today :-)
