    Undies in November

myhappyplace;1212784 wrote: Question: How do they - the locusts - manage to have a punch up over one of them humming a tune....???? Fair enough it was something about COD..

Because they will fight about anything......2 flies crawling up a wall.......anything....and if COD was involved say no more.

What I really like to watch is someone (else) driving along, one hand on the wheel and the other arm flailing wildly toward the back seat trying to connect with two kids who are smashing the Bejesus out of each other just
    out of reach.....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I was, as agreed, driving in the opposite direction.
And you won't be able to wave and flail at the same time....not unless you secure the steering wheel in place with gaffa tape first.

[QUOTE=Zenstyle;1212909Bridge... those clunky old mobiles we have no use for anymore... load 'em up in the glove compartment and use them as missiles when the back seat gets out of control... eh? I've been racking my brains for something to do with them.
Now there you go....I love the re-use aspect of this suggestion......some of them were built like bricks eh?

            Arvo, Undies and Internationalistas,

Another top 2 hours with Mellors today. I reckon I've cracked it for a pisser. Top bloke. It's like having a husband without the sex. Come to think of it ... after talking to some of my married mates ... yes. Just like a husband.

Following your success with Mellors, I have been in touch with Gary, who is going to get Brian to do two days in my back yard.

Ella - big hugs for what you are going through at the moment. However distressing it is, it sounds like you are dealing with it incredibly well. Finding places to vent is a very healthy strategy. It is good that you have managed to get an appointment to get your own check up - I always reckon that if one is worried then one should do something to alleviate that! (ie; do something about it or stop worrying!)

Angel - I see we still haven't found an appropriate moniker for your new name :-) Maybe ABM will just have to suffice in the mean time But it is very nice to have you back!

Buggered again today. But another report done and dusted. Just going home to prepare for a meeting with officialdom in the morning.

I must say, though, that I'm starting to feel the difference from my de-tox. Even after a really long day yesterday I managed to get in a really good workout today. And two people today said that I was looking really good so that is nice!!

I am also a financial member of the Raggsy fan club. I bought the supersaver multi year card at a discount.
I really hope that this coming year I can take a leaf out of your book Rags, and jump both feet back into the life that I left behind for kiddies and alcoholism (well, it's true)
But mostly I notice that a hell of a lot of the things that you do are to benefit others, either friends or organisations or the environment.
I've been giving this kind of thing a lot of thought lately ie: life directions, and you're a good inspiration for us here.
                Bridgey,
I am truly astounded by what you said, because I sit here andtake inspiration from you!

I so often think what little Iam doing for myself, for others. WhenI visit these wonderful places, I am overcome with the happiness of the people, who know nothing of the consumerism of our world, and who so willingly share what little they have. I was offered the milk from a geen coconut. That is consdered a great honour...but I didn't find out until I'd left the island.... I can do so little, but I'l go back in a couple of years and take a shitload of crayons, exercise books, money, rulers, and probably this computer as long as they have a generator by then.

Thankyou again my dear Bridgey. (Next time I'll come by and pick you up on my way through to lunch with Sunny and Happs)

Sweet, thanks Happs. Just finished reading Peter Robinsons Piece of my heart... nah, I think he was doing it for the word count.
Looking forward to the Stefg book.

                        NEWSFLASH

Mr Rags has decided he is going to learn to knit!

He is quite confused that as he can do quite intricate micro surgery, he seems unable to be able to control a piece of thick suture material (wool) and a pair of thicker knitting needles.

I told him to give it a week or two.
He wants to knit the Teddies scarfs for skiing.

Oh fuck. Does this mean we've reached our dotage???

Rags, I need a holiday early next year ... if Mr Rags can manage stocking stitch for the Teddies over the next couple of months, I'll teach him cabling and fair isle patterns in March!!

Change is in the wind undergarments! Nothing is certain yet until Mr B's court case has been heard in December, but we are looking at moving house. On the essentials list so far is:
                                • easy access to the school that Mr B's boy is likely to be at next year
easy accesss to public transport and a flat cycle ride to the train!!
close to a beach so I can swim more regularly
on town water supply (this is my requirement after Mr B started throwing all sorts of places into the mix that are still on bore water)
nothing that needs more than cosmetic touching up unless Mr B agrees to take responsibility for doing it (I am working FT, he works when he gets it)
                                  A back yard!!!!!!
                                  Room for chooks
                                  Room for a vegie garden
Room for Betty and Wookie to play in
A shed for Mr B to potter away in

The area that we are looking at is sunny and warm and very reasonably priced. At the moment we are feeling quite excited about prospects for the future, but we are not going to make any decisions before Xmas!
