If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

      Undies in November

Morning Undies and International Guests, yep its rain again for the next few days here which is good btw except for the wet dog smell, its our first rain for November as of yesterday and the rain water tanks are bone dry for the veges and all of the grass is brown and crackly, love that early Queensland summer. Thank dog the mould's not climbing up the walls yet but this will come...

Locusts at home today and I am lazy and in B.e.d. with lappie and a cuppa so reading back...

Happy Friday Undies!!! I've never posted on this thread so I hope it's ok to just plop myself in.... Feel like a drowned rat and I work in a hospital which STINKS (even more) when it rains....AND it hasn't stopped raining all week. Good sleeping weather but hard to get my sorry self out of bed in the morning. Hey Tawny, I watched your story begin many years ago and was chuffed to see you still here when I came back at the beginning of 2011. Hugs to all!!!
It is not what we do, but how much love we put into the doing.

          Morning all,

Hmmm, no answers to my mac/pc query from yesty, so will prolly end up tossing a coin.

Reggie, did you see the article in this months CH about the plastic dinghy anchor? What a great innovation. And only $45

Australian.... hello, welcome. And ditto Nicelife.

Just got a call from my Glebe friend. Wants me to house/cat sit an extra week in Jan. This means I'll be able to take in some of the Festival of Sinny................. and probbly take photos and put them up.

Ellaq, hope everything is slowly working out for you.

Just jumoing in quickly here - Rags - I'm a total Machead. I have a 27"iMac, a Macbook lappie (NOT the Air because that doesn't have DVD) and rescently added another 24" iMac. I love them because of • reliability, • minimal spam, • no viruses, • security. Why not go to a Macshop and talk to a salesperson and try one out?

Back later undies for a proper post.

Hi Undies, Rags another total Mac head here. Bought my first one in the early 90s and have been using them daily ever since. Quality feel, beautiful designs and operating systems, reliability is top knotch especially on osx. I have four in use including a ten year old laptop which hasnt been turned off in years, is plugged into the mains and still runs perfectly. The new models are bullet proof and viruses on macs are virtually unknown, I have never had one nor known anyone that has. Just buy one and I will be amazed if you look back with regret.

                  Hi KT,
                  Thanks.

The only things that concern me are transferring my word and xl docs how compatable they'll be or will i need to buy word and xl for mac, and how easily I will adapt to using it.

No worries there, you can buy office for mac or there is free software available to download which opens all office documents. I have both and have used the free one it for over a year and haven't had a single problem with it. Can PM you details in the morning. With regard to adapting to it os is very user friendly, lovely and simple to use and if you can find your way around windows you wil have no problems, besides which I am sure Froglett or I are only a question away. Pretty late here and I couldn't sleep but feeling it's time to try again now, so g'night.

Afternoon All and Welcome to Nicelife

All going well here.......but I am eating some bad bad foods today......why not I thought I have been so good lately.

My father's prognosis is not too bad.........still can't operate because of his issues caused by drink......now waiting to see if he will be man enough to handle radium therapy. Turns out that he has a blocked gland in this throat which is not related to his mouth cancer.........wonder if that is what I have too. Find out next week I guess.

                      Take care everyone.

Arvo Undies! I hear you Ella - running locusts everywhere and got ambushed by some pseudo chicken balls - Maccas style and fries and coffee....feeling crap now so will definitely be out walking later...spose it could have been worse, the pretend potato and gravy from KFC usually does me in but not this time.

Hang in Ella, you've got a mountain of good vibes heading your way. Hi to Nicelife too...

Good stuff Reg! Love days off its like being a kid again...

We're subjecting the locusts to a religious education even though ours wasnt. Have told them it will improve their general knowledge if nothing else. So far have one believer, one Darwinist and one Buddhist....Darwinist got in trouble for drawing a fish on his CE book - all good til he put legs on it...

                              Hello Arvo Undies and friends.

This is for anyone that likes a good jam, but especially Reg because the video rocks.

Home from work. Might snooze and then get ready for dinner with friends!
