      Nope.
      Not playing this year.
Will be very calmly moving through the fray, reminding folk that Christmas is only one day....not two full months of excess.
We'll see how I go with that.

In a better mood today and it helps that the weather is not wet cold and windy!

My Mellors equivalent is coming today - I have no idea what he looks like, but with the magic he worked in my garden last time I throb him.

I hope the CIA dont track Piglet back to the Underworld and get ASIO and the SIS onto us. :H:H

              Bridgers,

Check out RubyWillow's rant on the holidaze.
I'm writing checks, but will check out of the craziness.

                Just reading that now.
We've lost the plot with Christmas. I haven't enjoyed it for years.

Me, neither. I put a wreath on the door, and lights around the lamp post outside to fake out the neighbors about my Christmas spirit. My house is clear of Christmas clutter, and my heart is light. It works because I'm in the boonies, and no one visits.

On Chrissy ... the Frog clan always get together for an annual feast a week before. It's always fantastic. Somehow having the family dinner NOT on the 25th seems to take away a lot of the silly-bugger Christmas tension. We'll have a brilliant dinner at bro's house - I'm on starters, sis does desserts, bro does the rest. Gifts are minimal and stop once nephews and nieces start working. I've booked into a hotel, will spend an extra day in Melb. for some extra eating and stocking up on city food and then returning home.

I throb the real Christmas Day back in the bush because it's the only day of the year guaranteed to be totally free of drop-ins... they'll all be running around like blue-arsed flies getting hotter and grumpier and having to drive through ridiculous traffic with cranky kids ...

                          Nice...

Have to admit our Christmas will be easy..and a similar scenario to yours albeit in Sydney. At my sisters and just have to balance bringing FIL there, which given my family will be easy, they are "Yay, the more the merrier" and love taking the piss and he accepts it from them go figure?

I whinge about the decorating stuff but you know - this is my kids memories and they love it...so roll on the slight madness - it will all pan out
