    Sun, I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know what else to say apart from we can all empathise with you and our hearts are hurting for you.

    Brooke is home safely, thank goodness. Her cousin was killed in that air crash in Peru a few years back and we all kind of hold our breaths when one of us flies. She had the most amazing time you can imagine and brought back all sorts of treasures.

    Sorry, but can't stay tonight.

              Thinking of you today Sunshine and ATL. Hope you are feeling a lil better today Sun. ATL I once worked for a MOHS surgeon which is a doctor that specializes in the removal of skin cancer. You see one when you know that it is skin cancer. He removes the tissue but the difference is , he examines the tissue as he goes Via microscope to be SURE he gets all the margins. This way you know they got it all and sometimes it means the procedure is less scaring because they only remove what is necessary.:h.                 So GREAT to see so many posting here, and welcome to all who want to join in our own little zoo! :H People here DO become friends, and sincerely care for each other. I've read it here before from others, but other than some of my cherished childhood friends (and even THEY are different to talk to), I've never had friends I could talk to like this place and people.
                Yes, guys, I've worn myself down to a nub. But before the chastising and nagging begin, Hubs and I had a long talk, and have agreed on some tough new groundrules that are going to be hard on the family members and renters and others who expect everything from me and give very little back. I've been so touched by son's GF bringing us dinner, asking us over, doing things for us and when she was surprised it affected me so I told her it was so rare to have someone just do something like that. Not whining, just the way it is. I have backbone for everything but that. And told Hubs that he has to tell his mother once and for all to quit telling people, especially my children, what goes on in my life. She's caused me HUGE problems with family members. He doesn't want to hear it, but I gave him the choice of either he does it or I do. Daughter is mad now I went to the cabin and didn't come see her. Guess how she knew?
                But all is good. Rested a lot yesterday, made a great pot of chili last night, chicken and dumplings tonight. Little Pixie went home with Gracie; that lasted 4 days and Ex-B sent her back to son, so she's back at my house. Her manners have improved drastically with me since Friday. And she's ingratiating herself to Hubs.
                Hope everyone is doing well. I have read all your posts, and am aware of what's going on with you all. Hope your problems get better, and your days get easier, friends. What I've learned is we have to take our lives back and do the next right thing, for ourselves, or we're no good to anyone else, right? And if we just let ourselves be used, remember: Most people only are remembered as matyrs when they're dead!!

                        Nora...I know you want to do it....I wish I had an answer for you, but I do offer my hugs and prayers.
                        You are very special to me. I guess what really made me want to stop was when my son had his 2 DUI's and then my daughter was pregnant with my granddaughter....I wanted to be a good example and be available always for them...no matter what time of the day or night. :l:h:l

                              HEY SWANNIE - thank you my friend :l:l:l Time will heal. Everyone has been wonderful which has helped enormously. I took yesterday off work and am off today - so - hoping you are doing well? Please let us know....

                              Thank you again everyone for everything - you know how much it means to me.

                              Nora - I have no special words to help you to 'want' to do it. Just know that I am here to support you however I can - my heart goes out to you and I wish I could do more. As Grateful said - you just have to find what it is that REALLY makes YOU want to stop - I haven't found it yet either, but am managing to keep my drinking to a low level - could you do that? Doubt that this will help any - but know that I am always here for you. :l:l
