Hubs had a VERY serious talk to Tay and JC tonight, about what he expects and respect, and promised her he was her best ally and her worst enemy, whichever way she (and JC) decide to go. HE paid them, in cash, with a warning about future work, and made her look in his eyes while he was talking to her. Told her he knows too much to let her skip on her promises, so he did, as usual, come through for me. I deal with the aftermath, but at the least we have a stong front face. What happens between us is our business. Nothing is easy these days, for anyone. Don't be fooled into thinking because I have a lot of property it's easy. I have to manage it all most of the time, and it takes up all my time. He just hasn't gotten yet I'm not a young chick who can do this and raise the kids, manage their activies, do all the social things, and keep up the house. Poor guy. He's married to an old wife! :H
JC has been using the chainsaw clearing the backyard of a property, and told me there are lots of tracks of autos and 4-wheelers, so I've charged them with taking over fixing and locking the gate to the property. He loved the challenge, and will be watching out when I'm not there. Have spoken to most of my renters the last few days to update where we are on payments. We now have only one to rent, and it's pending, so it's good. Most tell me about all the problems they're facing with the economy, but I can't fix that, only work with them to a limit. We have a lot of very good people now, and it means a lot to have good decent folks, who're trying their best. Still, I have 2 I have to start legal proceedings on very soon, who recently moved out. Don't EVER get into rentals, friends. It hardens your soul!! Or maybe it opens your eyes, I don't know. NO ONE will keep your property like you do.
Will keep you informed on the Tay and JC saga. Hubs is in charge now, and I'm out of that challenge at least for now. Think they know they messed up when they upset me??

Hello family--hope all is well-- Vicki--take care of yourself or I will send my big hockey playing hubs after you. I am okay -- just ttrying to get some projects done that I put a Thanksgiving deadline on (for myself). Have a cough that won't quit-- took soem cough syrup last nigth then saw it had AL in it but that did not make me want to drink or take more of it-- I did not know they still made cough syrup with AL-- it made me dizzy! But it did suppress the cough from hell. Fen-- hope you are having fun. Are you going home with Mrs. Fen for T'giving? I would love to get to that neck of teh woods. hang in there guys!

hey there folks .. well i manage to get home early and catch up with some post .. mish not many people want to see whats really inside of themself and the only reason im going to say this is that i went thur it having to tell docs about what you do and drink and them just looking down at you .. so listen very carefully its all in your hands ...you are the only one that can make or break your habit... everyone is looking for a qiuk fix but really there isnt any meds that can fix you over night ... but you really looking deep within yourself then you can make all the changes you need to live your life the way you feel you should and no one else.. give it a try and make small step forward and you will see small changes .. and making big steps forward you might just feel like your head will blow ... so just do your best and go with what you feel is right for you ... maybe im wrong but i could be right ...you may never know untill you try ... well sending love and big hugs one and all think im going to bed early me really tired .. think its all catching up with me

Georgie I read that book too. I am a musician and sometimes do art. Most of my musician friends have a drug or drinking problem and a lot of them have died already.......hey my doc wouldnt give me antabuse or even campral....I had to get it off internet...he told me to go to aa and church neither of which I did.....very tired this eve, might heve to go to Gwinett (is that around you Rubes) Friday, they want me to work on field crew for marching band and hell, I have a gig Sat morn I gotta be there 9 a.m...how am I gonna get up after that late night Fri....gonna goof of a bit now..later

Bird, get another doctor. That one sounds like a right pratt.
My regular GP is a sweet Sri Lankan lass, very professional, empathetic, encouraging and thorough. She wasn't on yesterday so I just took pot luck with whoever was available. I won't bother with him again. He can stick his medical degree up his...jumper.
Thanks for all the concern, but I'm not miserable at all. Just wired and jumpy (like you'd expect someone on amphetamine to be). As unpleasant as all this is, it's proved to be a test in some ways. In the past, frustration, fatigue and failure to succeed in my quests resulted in a 'ah wotthehell' response and succumbing to the voice of The Beast. This time the voice has been silent. Admittedly, I've thought if I could just have a couple of glasses I could at least get some sleep, but one of my self-imposed rules is not to drink under adverse circumstances. It's too slippery a slope for me to even attempt to contemplate. When I have a drink now, it's under very controlled guidelines. I had a brandy and soda with Mother the night before she went into hospital. It was very pleasant to have a drink together, showed her I can do it for real, and just felt right.
I'm happy about that, and glad maybe I can catch up with some of you during your day.

Oh, and Fen, my psych moved away and I couldn't get to see a new one in time...they're pretty busy these days.
Oh, and I write. Very creative mind but strictly no talent outfit as artist or musician.
