Happy Hump Day, Friends. I can't wait to see more pics of Fen & Sun. Ruby....your kittens are so cute....I'm the same way you are....I take in whatever stray comes my way...whether it has 4 legs or 2. I guess my gift is a compassionate heart. I'm sorry you & Tay had a problem, but that happens with teenagers, unfortunately, and I'm sure she realizes that you may be the ONLY person she truly has in her life to turn to (except for her Daddy & your hubs). And JC...he just seems like a sweetie and eager to help in any way he can.

Mish...thinking of you today and hoping you can get the meds you need. Jan...we've been having a lot of headaches here...I'm thinking it is the weather change or maybe something to do with the heat in our house...maybe it's too dry because I've been having nosebleeds too. It's always something, isn't it? I'm glad you are feeling better.

Rog..I hope you have a GREAT day, brother. Maybe you & Sue should take a road trip and go pick up a kitten from Ruby???

Well I have my teenagers off to school. Thinking about not going to work, have alot of homework and didnt sleep well. The humidity is so high this a.m. Cuddley isnt doing well, not eating at all. I am eating fritos and french onion dip for breakfast. Boy I will get skinney doing that huh???hahaha gotta get..b

Grateful, when my girls were very little (from Tiffany down to Grace), they swore they would take in every stray animal. Reality has calmed that a bit, but still, Hubs may growl the cats won't let him out the door, he's afraid they'll trip me, etc., it's not in his heart to do less than I do. Ninny LOVES him, and he caters to her favorite foods, so THERE'S the real truth. Satan (Sadie) is a dog someone has to absolutely love or choke to death, so she's proof of his real animal nature. She actually got up on the table and got into my spaghetti bowl! One thing kept her from killing her, and just because he's bigger than me! :H
Bird, sorry about your feathered friend. She's probably grieving, in some shock right now. Hope she pulls through. Tay's little kitty, which she's fed since birth, had it's eyes open, crawling around, died suddenly, so she's sad. But she did take on the responsibility of keeping it alive for all these weeks (you should have seen her procedure for making it's bottle, hot water bag, etc.) Downright medical!
MB, Tay sassed me one time too many, and Hubs got involved in it. He's my bonus card, but I didn't involve him, she (against my advice) called to vent at him about how unreasonable I was being. B-A-A-A-A-D move. So they're worming their way back in, but the rules have changed. He sets their pay, and demands the work. Period. JC tries to stay out of the line of fire!

Sun says Fen is a BIT picky about her food.......



But they did have a fun game night at home last night.....

You lot are cracking me up! Oh Grateful - your comment is PRICELESS! Nelz - are you around????? We are having a wonderful time - Fen is still sleeping - our hard day of gardening yesterday wore her out - the dogs had me up ages ago, or I would still be asleep too!! Ruby you are hilarious - where DO you find these pictures - we don't have to find them - we are taking them!!

Mish - I hope things are better for you today - can you get to a doc and get some meds? Bird - I SO hope that Cuddley pulls through - I know that chickens can be quite fragile and she has been through a lot. Oh - your breakfast sounded YUCK. Oh Ruby - I think we will pass on the yard workers - Fen will post a pic later of the ones that we had to help us, but thank for the thought.....:H Rog - I think it would be too much for you, with all the work that you are doing, to even just lie there....... Ben and Daisy are getting on okay - a couple of scuffles but doing well - this morning they actually played a little together - YEAH ! It brought joy to my heart for Ben.

For the 'girls'!

A beautiful woman loved growing tomatoes, but couldn't seem
to get her tomatoes to turn red. One day while taking a
stroll she came upon a gentlemen neighbor who had the most
beautiful garden full of huge red tomatoes. The woman
asked the gentlemen, "What do you do to get your tomatoes
so red?" The gentlemen responded, "Well, twice a day I
stand in front of my tomato garden and expose myself, and
my tomatoes turn red from blushing so much."

Well, the woman was so impressed, she decided to try doing
the same thing to her tomato garden to see if it would work.
So twice a day for two weeks she exposed herself to her
garden hoping for the best.

One day the gentlemen was passing by and asked the woman,
"By the way, how did you make out? Did your tomatoes turn
red?"

"No" she replied, "but my cucumbers are enormous."

Sun, hope Daisy and Ben get along famously from here on out.
