Hallo Army!!! Nice to see your happy faces. All except for JC, that is. Lovely to see you too Jackie, but do black labs always look that sad?Recluse;1201634 wrote: Hello!
White rabbits - zenners has got me addicted to these cartoons now:
Simon's Cat - Hop It
Love those cartoons too, Reccie.
Recluse;1201634 wrote: Tips, it's beyond me how you can cope with that commute every day. I live 15 minutes from where I used to work and found even that journey to be a real pain in the bum. Couldn't you move closer to work? Apart from the time saving, you'd save a fortune on petrol. It's about ?1.35 a litre here! :upset:Gasoline is 1.64 euro a litre here Reccie and our store is 40 kilometres from our house. Takes about 45 minutes each way. Costs a lot in gasoline plus we have to pay a toll price each way of 1.86 euro. We got a really good deal on our apartment but in the almost 6 years that we've been living here, if you add up the toll payments plus the fact that our other place was only 18 kilometres from our last apartment, we've clocked up a lot of extra kilometres - 44 a day. So I expect the tens of thousands of euros we saved on the apartment are slowly but surely being eaten up by those extra expenses.:upset:
Recluse;1201634 wrote: I agree with tips on the tv expatty. I know they're not cheap but I'm amazed you've lasted this long without one when you have two young children to keep entertained.
Lord, I'd have gone mad without a TV. I admire your patience. Truly.
Recluse;1201634 wrote: I wear my hiking boots every time I go out for a walk now in order to get my feet used to them (or should that be the other way round?) Went for another long walk in the dark last night and my shirt was wet with perspiration when I got home. (was that TMI?) Not a bad day outside, there's actually some blue sky out there, so I expect I'll go for another long walk later on.Not TMI and so glad to hear your getting out for walks. You must be enjoying it.
Recluse;1201634 wrote: There are much worse things you could be addicted to pingu, but I'm on a diet so rice pud is definitely off the menu! What the Panda said.
Coco-Nut;1201638 wrote: Good morning everyone and Happy November! I must just say that Stirly and JC's colourful posts with tons of pictures make me feel completely inadequate. I pop in and manage a quick "hi" - and didn't even take off my Halloween costume before my first post!!
sunshine_gg;1201673 wrote: Quick fly-by greeting!!! Hewwwwwooooo Army!
Gorgeous offspring, Pingu!! Enjoy them while they're still youngins!
Tippers, cough up the sun, or else!!!

Gotta run! Happy whatever day of the week it is today! zoom!
tiptronic_ct;1201683 wrote: We've thought about it often, Reccie. There are pros and cons... So far, the pros have won the day, although I must admit it has been a source of some friction between Mrs. T and I.
expat3;1201686 wrote: Hello everyone!
Weather was pretty crappy today. We are getting out tomorrow no matter what though. I'm thinking of going into Paris and walking around a bit. My son is bouncing off the walls.:upset:
Pingu-your children are gorgeous!
Pingu - what Patty said. You're children are beautiful.
