I had a dream
I am realising more and more daily that I have an alcohol problem I keep remembering awful things that have happened and cringing. Anway last night I dreamt that madonna insisted I have a scotch and soda (never drank that in my life) and then some friends who didn't want me to stop drinking insisted I have another, so I did, and I dreamt that I woke up and felt guilt and awful and all that and I thought i'd have to put 2 down on the drinktracker, I was so disappointed cos I want to do abs. And then I woke up, what a relief. I don't tknow wether to tell people I have a drink problem or just get on with stopping, thing is i'm very open and tend to spill the beans about everything.

I had a dream
XXX's to you too! You are remarkable! You will know if you need to mention it to someone. No shame. Very admirable that we are here, aware of our circumstances and care enough to do something about it.
Hugs :l

I had a dream
Why should we
Why should we tell people, no one thinks I have a drinking problem but me and one other person. I like you just get on with it thing. For instance today I am really struggling with the thought that tonite I will drink but I am not gonna let it eat me up, I'm just gonna be with you guys as much as I can today.

I had a dream
Okay, I am new, just ordered some supplements and stuff, hope this works! Stoatqueen- we tend to dream about the things that are most bothersome, however when you tell someone about your dream it is rare to have a repeat of the dream, so don't worry, you just got it out of your system. It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not.

coming out of the closet - and dreams
you are absolutly right StoatQueen. We of all people should know that drinkers don't like to drink alone. If you're a big drinker (like me) you surround yourself with people who support you, not disapprove. Its really surprising how many people have come out of the woodwork since I have proclaimed LOUD AND CLEAR that I'm addicted to drink. so many people say they think they have a problem too. I thought I was alone, but half my friends are thinking of quitting now too. I think telling people that we are doing something about our problems is a wonderful thing and something we should be proud of. I text some of my friends everyday to tell them how many days I've been sober. I tell everyone on the chat.... anyone, anytime. Even my boss (who's been wonderful about it).
Now, back to the dreams... this morning I dreamt that I was heavily pregnant with twin boys. I went into labour but couldn't find the maternity ward. I was running through miles of corridors in the hosp looking for somewhere to give birth, but couldn't. in the end, I ended back at home and had them in my own bed. my ex-husband was there and wanted to know who the father was.......explain that one to me!It always seems impossible until it's done....
