If you were a meat eater, KT, ham boiled in coke is delish.
I do eat fish, maybe I could try a bit of cod?:new:

That's a good old Nigella recipe, the ham and coke thing. Think it has to be full sugar version coke and the Miwadi stuff low sugar.

Mollers,I'm so sorry it has come to this. Anyway you know you can tell us anything. Good or bad or indifferent.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Yeah I'm ok Tabs, I might as well put it out here tho, hubs has pretty much finally pulled the plug on the oul marriage - 33 years and he's had enough. I've been trying and trying to sort things over the last 2 weeks, but I've finally pushed him beyond the limit. Add into that, the kids are giving me a bit of a battering also, and the older lads haven't even pitched in yet, reckon they'll appear today -- and I'm feeling very low, very strong tho - I reckon this IS my rock bottom --- just cannot imagine EVER drinking again --- tad late I reckon. Anyway sorry If I've put a damper on things, but I'm feeling a bit alone, so could do with a bit of old banter or whatever here --- you've no idea how important you all are to me at the mo:l
Sorry to hear this molly :l You will get through this and keep in touch with everyone here :l

See how far I'm prepared to go for yous sacrificing me tastebuds.

I do know exactly what you mean Molly, myself & DW are into our 3rd decade together, poor woman.
Now your kids will be angry today and saddened by the current turn of events but remember they love you both and only what the best for you. Emotions will be running high and it is probable that they may say things they latter regret so be prepared for that and remember we all say stupid and hurtful things in the heat of the moment. Then again they may realise its never as simple as being one persons fault. Really nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors in a marriage so they shouldnt second guess.

Turns out now I forgot the coffee too. Strange how I never normally forget the booze init eh?
Coffee tastes err ok btw, hope it doesnt create an adverse effect.

I agree about the kids, they'll get over it, especially when they see the drinking is over, wish the youngest was finished school tho - hate to think that I could impact on his whole future -- anyway, what's done is done, now I will try and focus him.

Enuff 'bout me anyhows - gonna make banana bread and do a bit of scrubbing - thanks for all your kind words - will be back in a bit:l

Mollers, love. Things will work out perhaps not the way you envisaged but they'll work out. Each of us finds our own way. The only thing I know is that Mr JC and the kids found it very hard to adjust to the new sober me and over the years it was one of those things that kept me falling off the wagon after fairly decent AF time under me belt as I was soooooooooooooo positive they'd prefer me drunk and pliable. But I was buggered if this time it was going to let it get to me.

Oh and BTW the coffee tastes.......................errrr fecking awful.

                            Hi, all,

New to this thread, so may I jump in?

Mario> I've admired, and have wanted to say hello to you, for some time. I always appreciate your words of wisdom. You're a rock for us, you know. BTW, I read the paper, but not the heavy stuff, and I never watch the news. Too depressing, and nothing changes. Brings me down.

Went to the Connemara in '08, and loved it. Stayed in Newport. Wish I could move there. Any jobs?:H

Molly> I do hope all works out. Keep us informed. We care.:l:l
