    Army Thread Monday 7th November

    Good morning, Army

Wow! I was greeted by a beautiful sight as Table Bay came into view this morning. The sea was flat, and you could even make out the outline of the buildings on Robben Island. Stunning.

    Have a marvelous Monday.

Morning tips and all to come

I was in the process of starting the thread off tips, but you beat me to it!

Just got back from a long walk (well I call 45 minutes long!). Not much of a view though - it's still dark.

Are you in the office already? I'm impressed!

      Morning Tips and Reccie
      Still dark here too.
I'm still at the coffee stage-trying to wake up. Your view sounded beautiful Tips. And good for you Reccie-out walking already!

        Morning expatty!

What's up with pug dog? You're taking him to the vet.

He's ok. Just needs his shots and the vet will give him a checkup to make sure he's in good health. We have to keep everything up to date. Dogs have little European passports now (no, I'm not kidding:H) and if you want to travel around Europe you have to bring their passport with them.

            Good morning Reccie & Expat

Yep, Reccie - I'm up at 5.00 a.m. and at the office by 7.00. It's the only way to make my commute bearable. I leave town before 4.00 to miss rush hour on my way home.

You should invest in a pedometer, Reccie - it helps you keep track of the distances you cover, your speed etc.

Good luck with the vet, Expattie. At least it's only one animal. We usually rock up with all 4 cats and Jasmine.

Yep, it's the same for cats expatty. I learnt about it when I was looking into emigrating. They're called pet passports over here and your pet has to be microchipped too.

              Edit: Xpost tips.

When we were in Normandy last year, I saw quite a few British tourists with their dogs. It was not that long ago that it would have been impossible to travel like that. I think the quarantine was six months or so. Glad those days are over!
Oh my! 7 am already! Time flies in the morning. Off to get ready for work.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday. x

                  Good morning Tips,Expat and Wrecky.
Sounds lovely Tips you paint a beautiful picture

Enjoy a new/fresh week Expat and hope pug dog does not protest at his shots.

Hey Reccie I am getting serious competition from you. Maybe a good idea to follow Tips advice and invest in a pedometer.

I had a wonderful walk in the hills yesterday, the views were fabulous and the weather warm enough for shorts.

                    Good morning Mrs A

Glad you had a great time yesterday. You probably didn't see it, but I posted yesterday that on top of being envious of tabbers for living near the sea, I'm also envious of you for being so close to both Snowdonia and the lakes. You're very lucky!

Morning folks, I too went for a walk, 4km in the woods. Dont have a pedometer, son just used the sat nav thingy on his iPhone. Well its white here this morning, not snow, yet, but a heavy frost. As you know I prefer the sun but have to admit it looks pretty, not as pretty as Tip's view this morning I hasten to add. Feeling good this morning and ready to face whatever crap is coming my way this week.
