Stirly seems to be MIA. Maybe she's stuck in front of the goggle box watching all the news? Or maybe she's out rioting again?

          Hello Troopers!!

Got a bit of good news. Mr JC's secretary had a baby girl last night weighing in at 8lbs 6oz (3.9kgs). There will much happy dancing going on in his office today.Great news Jackie. I wonder have they got a name for her yet? How about Isobel? Always liked that name.

          Hi and goodbye Molly.
Right off to have a bit of pampering Manicure and Pedicure. Do I need to wash my feet first?I've only had a pedicure once and I washed my feet before going for it in the late afternoon even tho' I'd had a shower that morning. Just seemed the right thing to do.

Let's see, we've got the choccie thingey, and the hate my feet being touched thingey and the painting my nails everyday thingey and the love of shoes and handbags thingey and last but not least, the ciggies thingey. :H

off to bank some money, sadly not mine :upset:
:H That made me laugh Pingu. So what would you do here when we wear sandals for about 8 months of the year. Gotta have yer feet and toenails looking nice when they're not covered up.
I'm off to the bank in bit myself - to pay a bill. Not happy about it but at least we have the money to pay it off and that's saying something.

Say Hi! to Jim for me, Mario.

Looks like I missed Molly and ExPatty. No doubt they'll be back later.

I was out for a walk with Freddie earlier and took some pictures. But I'll have to post them separately because I'll be over my 6-icon limit.

Hope you're all having a lovely day...

              Fall in Stirly-World...

We saw some pretty red leaves...

              Grapevine leaves turning yellow...

              Olives ready to be picked...

A huge cluster of oranges ripening on the tree...

A pretty white wall with a lemon tree and a bougainvillaea in the background...

And last but not least - Daisy (in front) and her daughter Cookie. They're both Freddie's gurlfriends and fight over him everyday when we pass by. Cookie jumps up on Daisy trying to get closer to Freddie and Daisy bites Cookie on the nose to tell her to behave.

Not MIA, Reccie - here the whole time, just posting on other threads and exchanging PM's.

                  And Stirly doesn't riot.:dunno:

                            nice pics stirly

I wear trainers all year round whatever country I am in hence the need for pretty feets is irrelevant to me!

However it's been 2 whole days since I chewed my fingers.... this is as bad as giving up wine?!?
I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

I have, too. In February of 1973. We headed to the south of Crete to find warmer weather after spending 5 rainy days in Irakleio. We ended up getting snowed on going through the mountains to get there. The room we rented wasn't heated and it was freezing so we went to town and got a bottle of liqueur to warm up our blood a little. We didn't know a word of Greek, except "yassou" so we didn't know what flavour it was - thought it might be strawberry or cherry due to the pinkish-red colour. Unfortunately it was rose-flavoured. (I guess the piccie of the rose on the label should have been a clue). It tasted like rose-scented perfume smells. :yuk: It was truly foul but we drank a fair bit anyway just to warm up. On a positive note, we were served rustic brown bread at one of the taverna's we ate at and I can still remember it as being the most delicious bread I've ever eaten. KTAB - I would love to hear more about your travels through Greece.

It's not that warm here now - only about 17C. Cool for us. And it will get cooler. Often get temps down around zero in January and February and we usually get snow once a year. Here, near Athens that is. Greece is a very mountainous country, which a lot of people don't realize and there is snow in the mountains from late November til March most years. And we've got some great ski resorts. Not just warm weather and beaches here.

Well lets see now Stirly I have only been there on 3 occasions, the first time in 83. It was a different world back then and I absolutely loved it. I have only visited Athens, Kos, Ios, Santorini, Crete and a number of tiny islands but just on day trips, including the volcano in santorini bay & nisyros, which was wild.
BTW yes I was in Ayia Galini and the nearby sandstone caves which were a hippy commune back in the days, complete with carvings on the walls & ceilings.
