      Good morning everyone!

      Today is the day! Yep. Thursday, in case you're wondering :H

      I've been summoned to appear at citizenship ceremony to take my oath to Queen and motherland, jawohl. Oh.. and it's also been 30 days since my last drink. This is a good day, I think.

      Molly.. so happy for you! You must be so relieved.

      JC.. love those knit lil ensembles.. they don't do them like that over here.

        Anybody have a phone number for Lady Jan at home? If you're her friend on FB, she's posted that she's in trouble and going to check into a clinic.

          I pm'd her daughter Stirls, no number for her, she has been posting upsetting stuff for the past few days, tried talking to her last night, I hope she is ok.

                I got Jan's number and talked to her for about 15 or 20 minutes. I didn't have time to talk longer unfortunately. She sounded calmer but groggy since she'd taken a couple of sleeping pills. She's having a tough time with Ollie. You know what 9-year olds can be like. One minute they're angels and love you to bits and the next you're the mean, nasty witch who won't let him play with Play Station. Jan's tired. She went through so much to get Ollie back and now she's struggling so hard to raise him by herself and make enough money to pay for all of their expenses. And he's challenging her a lot, as kids will do. You can only stand so much and then you start to crack if you don't have someone to share the burden with. I told her that I thought she should come back to the Army. We may be hundreds and thousands of miles away, but there is always support here and someone around to listen when you need to talk. I assured her that there are lots of people here who care about her and I'm hoping she will listen to me and join us once again on the thread.

                          Crikey I've nearly let a pan boil dry. It's amazing how we loose track of time on here.

                          The first single parent I ever met was my Granny. She was widowed at 41 when my granddad died of leukemia. My mum was married then but my Aunt was only 13.
