      ooh thanks for the info on Gazza, I might watch that....

      just bought some sensory/fidget/concentration toys for my daughter who is currently bouncing off the walls and this week has been in trouble for crawling under the tables during mat times at school......
      I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

      They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

        Went to have a look to see if I could find a picture of the dress but I couldn't. Camera is on standby though.

        Don't envy you one little bit,Pingu. Hope these toys work for you.

          I saw your post about the gel nails. I had them done a couple of months ago and I was really disappointed by them. No doubt it depends on the person who does them but I personally would never, ever have them done again. First of all, it took her three hours to do them and I was literally climbing the walls a couple of times. Second, a couple of the gel "nails" started to come unstuck at the base of the nail about 10 days after they were done. Not to mention that a couple actually had chips out of them on the side of the nail by that time. I ended up slowly but surely chipping all of the gel off of all of my nails and almost two months later, my nails are still brittle and break much easier than before. Another thing - you have to go in for "upkeep" every couple of weeks as you are not supposed to file them yourself. If you do, apparently moisture can get between your nail and the "gel nail" and the gel nail will come loose. So the nail lady will file them for you and then put a special sealer on them (I presume) and will probably charge you for that, plus re-painting them. A few years ago I tried those fake nails that Zenstyle mentioned. They are really very easy to put on, look great and last quite well as long as you have the glue with you to re-glue and "pop-offs". The downside is that your nails can get a really bad fungal infection since they don't "breathe" with those nails. At one point I removed the "glue-ons" to replace them and there was actually green fungus on my nails. :yuk: That's when I pitched the glue-ons into the bin, scrubbed my nails with a nail brush and chlorine and left them to recover. It took my nails about 4 months to get back to normal and I still have "ridges" as a reminder of that bad experience. Anyway, I just wanted you to know what problems either kind of fake nails can cause. Truly, wishing you the best of luck in stopping the biting, but maybe you should look a bit more into the end results of the "fakes".

            Hi folks,

            Still feeling a bit wonky, doped up on tablets tho.....hopefully it will just pass.

            Latest is now, Rob not going to the party tonight for fear of failing, so he will drop me there and collect me.He says it is too early for him to go and socialise in that environment and it would be too tempting, so I understand.

            I am gonna order UGGS off that site Molly and some sunnies!

                              Yeah, that's what I thought Molly, his friends are very pushy and rely on him for being the life and soul of the party.

                              I have to say I admire him for taking this step, he loves his nights out and he really must be serious!

                                cripes stirly you know how to knockdown an already fragile self esteem......

                                I am trying it just once, as a treat, and hopefully after that I can leave my nails alone and stop chewing them. After all I have done it for a week and that's a real achievement for me......

                                I'll ask her about problems and upkeep before I finalise the appointment
