yep I;m sitting here and the other half is drinking wine but it doesn't bother me any more. Anyway I never liked red wine, well actually I liked it but it never got on with my head the next morning....I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

I liked vodka but mixed with wine (and on its own if I drank enough) gave me frigginheadaches too....
I am on lemon and lime flavoured water tonight and it's quite nice!!!!I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way

Hi all, just thought I would pop in and say hiya.

Well it's been a good few months, I had a boyfriend for 4 months but to be fair, he was a weekend drinker. Nothing wrong with that but after a while of it I got bored. I didnt problem drink during this period, just the odd few glasses of wine with a meal but it worried me. I told him I had issues with alcohol but he didnt seem to get it.
We went out for a ton of meals and I gained a stone (14 lbs)
I started dieting (Have lost 10lbs now) and realised that besides the having a good time we didnt really have much in common so I ended it.
I now work for the government! LOL! I had to have all sorts of vetting checks and like a typical paranoid alkie I thought I had something murky in my past I had blacked out but seems not so yay!
Work with a great bunch of people, of course socialising revolves around drinking but I'm staying in check.
I am in hospital next month for a few days for routine MS treatment again. I was in hospital the same time last yeat. I am in a better place now and dont think I'll be getting my friends to smuggle me out of the hospital, stent still stuck in hand to go for a few glasses of wine at the local pub this time lol.
- Drinking, after massive infusions of steroids and a mild chemo drug - Go figure!!
