    Army Thread 14th November

What is "me" time???:H I don't remember anymore.
Actually, the kids are now in bed. But I'm too tired to appreciate it. Going to curl up with Under the Tuscan Sun. Maybe I'll dream of Italy.
    Back in the morning-early. x

          Evening all.

Bit late been entertaining the son and heir's girlfriend. We had hoped there might have been a proposal of marriage over the weekend in Paris but noooooooooooooooooooooooooo :upset:

Mind you how anyone can afford to get married these days is beyond me.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

            Hello Army!!!

Feck - haven't had any "me" time tonight. Helping cubs prepare for exams.
Um, er, how exactly do you help them prepare for exams? Give them test questions and help them with the answers or stand and tap them on the noggin if they lift their eyes from the books?

Just kidding, Tipster. :goodjob: on helping them. I only helped my boys study during the first two years of public school - grades one and two. I wasn't fluent enough in Greek then to be of any help after that.

Awwhhh, poor Tipps. At least you can help them. My mother never had a proper education (she had TB as a kid and missed a lot of school) and I can't once remember her helping me with my homework. She's bloody sharp as a tack now, and up on all the current affairs. Useless when I was in school though! Too busy with Mr Vodka and the Valiums (her favourite band)...
I'm sure it wasn't funny then, Zennie but it sounds funny now - Mr. Vodka and the Valiums...:H

I'm getting the same one as Pam... one of them touch screen thingies... but she can't type worth shit on hers... typos in all the texts. Hope I can manage to get used to it sooner rather than later. I've had me crackberry for a while... and I'm used to that set-up. It will be worth it for the internet capabilities. I'll be able to log into this place without going mental trying to read the screen... par example...
I've a new touch-screen phone too - an Android (that has to do with what programmes you can download to your phone - GPS, Wifi, etc., etc. according to older son, the computer genius) TBH, I prefer my old clam-phone with buttons. I'm not really keen on this one since I don't use my phone for much more than calling my sons and my friends and sending the odd text message to them. I had speed dial on my other phone which I don't on this one and as I have large fingers, I often press the wrong button when writing a message and have to erase it which is both time-consuming and annoying.

Oh dear, Jackie, I didn't know you'd been waiting for that. Seriously tho', it costs a lot to get married, start a family, buy a house, etc., etc. these days. I really feel sorry for our kids.

Troopers, am off to walk Freddie and then to bed. To all of you....
