Army Thread Thursday 24th November
Hewwo, Army
Thanks for your post, Oney :l
Lunchtime check-in. Still feeling kinda wank. At least I'm outta here early for a visit to the dentist - have to have an x-ray taken before our medical aid will authorise a new crown to replace the one giving me so many problems. I hope I can get it sorted out before 15 Dec when the labs close. As of next year, specialist dentistry will be excluded from our medical plan. Feck. Will have to pay out of our own pockets for stuff like that. We're already paying the medical aid out of our own pockets, for that matter. We don't qualify for any free medical cover / procedures of any kind whatsoever. Not that I'd like to risk life and limb by using the South African public health care system. I don't think any of you guys in the Northern parts have any idea of what it's like in a 3rd world country...I'll do whatever it takes

I only have an inkling what it must be like, why do you think I get on me high horse when I see a certain fresh water mammal dissing our health service.
I'll bet me bottom rand that the dentists will come out with a new improved, hideously expensive dental plan.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Hi guys. Big hugs all round.
Yes, I can vouch for the turmoil that Oney went through at that time. It was horrendous and there is still much backlash about it.
I am sorry about Robs drinking tho, I know what its like to live with a drinker and it can be a rollercoaster. Dont think I could do it again I dont think I have the patience any more I am sad to say.
Its good to see the army buzzing tho.Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008

I have been hyper at work all day
Now I want to sleep
Have shouted my head off at my boy and sent him up his room
I feel bad but he let himself down, and me too. He isn't bright, and he makes silly decisions without thinking of the consequences, hence letting people down
I wish I could deal with stress better
Feel quite sad now :-(I have a drink problem, I have been AF since 15 March 2011 and I am working hard to stay that way
They don't call me Pingu Purple Pants for nothing....

I eventually got that blooming dress ordered. What faff and carry on.
I am debating to iron or not to iron.Well I guess it's kinda late to say don't iron. I am glad that you managed to order the dress. I wrote in the product code on the site but didn't get anything. I guess I'll have to wait til you send me a picture of it.

I haven't had time for a read-back but hope everyone's in fine fettle. Saw that post about Tipps though... and I hope you're OK... I'll have a wee scan of the thread in a bit.
Its Thanksgiving here today and after a nice lie-in I've pottered around in the kitchen cooking stuff for dinner... Just about to tidy up the kitchen and BJ and I are off to the gym, then home to shower and pack it all into the car and head up to my mate's. We'll eat there and then go to other friends of mine after. They have a poker tournament every year... I'm not a big poker player so I'll hog their pool table instead. I LURVE turkey day!!! )
:hallo: to everyone else. I hope KTAB's appointment went well. Pingu - we all feel sad sometimes after we've scolded our kids. But we usually reprimand them to teach them a lesson in how to behave better so as to avoid situations. So it's for their good in the end. Never pleasant tho'.For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
